I went here for swimming with my 2 year old. we went into the building. it was amazing I love the layout.then we proceeded to walk into the changing room and once in it was smelly and very hot and sweaty I there but I can't complain because people have been swimming and the smell was mostly chlorine which is needed in a pool. so I wasn't too concerned. we then went into a changing room with a baby changing table on there. (which is amazing by the way to have for parents who have children) we obviously got changed and I could smell something in the changing room. ours. I looked for anything that could do with the smell and then I opened the baby changing table and there was a full on open nappy which has been used. i just headed out and me and my son did our swimming and then went back in and got changed very quickly as I didn't want it to ruin our swimming trip. I once informed a member of staff and they helped me with the situation. lovely member of staff. I went back and got my things but checked it again and there was still a smudge of you probably know what. I just left as it isn't my issue. but I did have a lovely time overall except from the changing room part.

The classes are great but the facilities need a serious facelift, the gym is tired and rundown, with old equipment that if often broken and takes months to be fixed. The roof leaks whenever it rains which is fixed by placing buckets around the floor... hazard tape is used as a permanent solution to any issues. The pool is closed at least once a week due to chemical issues and other reasons, the changing rooms are disgusting and the toilets always have a strong odour of sewage. Overall, the centre needs a real upgrade and facelift. It's disappointing to pay around £40 per month just for classes as the gym is barely usable. Hopefully this feedback will be taken on board by the Active Nation group.

My Children have been swimming here for 7months now.
The classes are over crowded for a 30min lesson especially when their is always a child messing around distracting the teacher aka wasting their time and everyone else's time to learn.
In the 7months the price has increased twice now,
for 2hours (more like an hour) of swimming for zero improvements in the lesson quality.
Changing rooms are also pretty grim.

Love this leisure centre. Go most days for a swim and always find the pool and changing rooms nice and clean, staff are very friendly and the centre offers good value for money

They leave the keys with 1 person and if they are late or don’t turn it this happens….. no or bad management. -
5 months in this hasn’t happened again so in fairness this was a one off. Keeping it at 3 star as the gym price for the equipment and room you get is nearly double that of a chain say PureGym with lots more to offer.

Brilliant staff, great for kids parties.

Had a 7 year old birthday party here and it was great. Pool session was fantastic and then a large party room after for food and games.

Not my first time going to this establishment. It has always held a high standard and it has not changed over the last 5 years I have been attending. The staff members are always present to help and provide the right guidance. It can be slightly disorienting to find your way to the sports hall, although signs are present. There are many turns to take as it is based around the school. The courts are always great to play on and allows players to spectate away from the courts. As seen on the photos in the background. I would recommend going if you have little ones to entertain and they have a very good swimming programme. Visit their website for more information on classes and other activities going on. Will be coming back.

Swimming lessons are terrible. There is one teacher who is brilliant, a young girl who unfortunately seems to do alternate Wednesdays. She actually teaches swimming. The rest at stage one are appalling. It's common to be 15 or 20 mins into a lesson and them to have done zero swimming. I've noted before in a half an hour lesson he's swam up and down the tiny area twice. Rest is standing about after most the lesson wasted doing nothing. This has been mentioned to reception several times, but no difference. They operate at a snails pace wasting the lesson time splashing kids, getting them to walk in the water, go through a hoop, talking. Surprise surprise 6 months in and zero progress. We are paying you to teach them to swim. Assignment failed ! Worst swimming instructors, don't waste your money.
