Have tried to get an appointment at this surgery for 2 weeks. Rang at 8am every day. Sent to Hatton pharmacy last week but this did not work. Continued to try again & still no appointments. How do you get to see a GP any more? How can you get past an unqualified receptionist?!

The best doctors surgery in the area. The ladies on reception are friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. Dr Wright, Dr Makava and Phlebotomist Upchurch are all so helpful and clearly very passionate about what they do for the community.

Partner rang this afternoon as had developed severe sinus infection, feeling poorly, swollen face and loss of balance. Told no appointments and to ring tomorrow morning at 8am, or go to Walk in Treatment Centre. Fat lot of good. Not happy at all. Shoddy service.
Treatment centre gives appointment for Royal Derby for 7pm. Got there no appointment on screen. Next appointment 10.30pm! Informed that could have got treatment in pharmacy. Why did surgery not say this. Complete bucket passing. Not happy at all.

Saw a lovely Dr today , this is the second time I’ve seen him and both times he’s been kind and reassuring. I will try and see him if l should need to see anyone again as it’s really important for your GP to recognise you and remember you. I go so rarely to the doctors and faces change. Years ago you had your regular GP who you always saw ( Dr O , you know who you are) . But populations grow , deadlines get tighter, medicine becomes more sophisticated and we are living longer. So the burden on all GP practices becomes greater. I just wanted to thank Willington surgery and the staff for their help and support , especially Dr Jackson

Called this morning and spoke to Laura and they could not have been more friendly and helpful. It didn’t take an age to get through, I felt heard and reassured from the moment I spoke and I was given clear and concise information about what the plan is moving forward with my care.
Recently moved to this surgery and so glad I did. Would definitely recommend.

After having sciatica and ringing the surgery the care they gave me was just outstanding and I'm so very grateful to all the staff and Dr Jackson and Dr Saunders! They saw me two days on the run (face to face appointments) and when my medication was making me sick with a phone call it was changed immediately!! Thank you so very much!!!

I’ve had nothing but exceptional care from the surgery in the past 12 months both in relation to mental health and physical health issues. Enquiries have been dealt with promptly and I’ve been proactively contacted by the surgery in a number of occasions without a need to chase and prompt which has been my experience with secondary care. Even on ringing to arrange a follow up blood test appointment today I rang at 08:30 was number 1 in queue and the friendly receptionist had everything booked within 2 minutes of me dialling. Special thanks to Dr Jackson for support in past 6 months. If I could give 6 stars I would!
