Brilliant, friendly and understanding surgery. Registered online, phoned up to see how long that might take later in the day, they said 4-5 working days but gave me good advice to call my old GP or see the pharmacist in the meantime, got an e-mail later that same day to say I was registered, phoned at 8am the following morning, was seen by midday. Friendly, professional and understanding service.

Have had to book a few appointments recently and every time I have been seen quickly, whether F2F or on the phone via e-consult. Apart from one slightly negative experience a few years ago, the medical staff is empathetic and considerate, and the receptionists are very helpful in getting you seen quickly. I feel confident I'll be taken care of when needed.

The service received at Wellspring has been brilliant on the whole, and having now moved area I hope my new GP will be as good.

Reception staff have always been helpful despite huge pressure they must face. I have only had one issue getting through on the phone to book an appointment in 7 years. All other times I have been able to get urgent or non-urgent appointments without issue - they’ve been particularly very good for urgent appointments where I was in a lot of pain and needed to see someone that day.

The nurses have always been excellent - for smear tests, blood tests, baby vaccinations. Always kind and explain everything well.

The doctors are on the whole excellent. Particularly Dr Kitty Thompson who I saw multiple times regarding a chronic health condition because I felt she listened to me and was honest with the options and helpful seeking outside advice to help inform a diagnosis. Also Dr William Klinkenberg who provided excellent information regarding test results and took away a request to research a question I had that couldn’t be answered straight away, and did get back to me very promptly after doing so. All doctors I’ve seen at Wellspring have always been very good for acute symptoms like ear infections. Some doctors were a little hit or miss for chronic long term symptoms that have a lot of crossover and are harder to diagnose and can more easily be attributed to more common issues, but I do think this is a wider issue and not Wellspring specific. For me this resulted in multiple appointments over the years due to them focussing on just one or two issues at a time - for those health issues with a wider spectrum of symptoms I do recommend keeping a good record of symptoms you experience over 1 year, take it to the doctor and advocate for yourself to help join any dots and inform a diagnosis. GP’s do unfortunately have to focus more on the obvious more common health issues, so getting diagnosis on less common things does take some extra effort, but I always found most Wellspring doctors receptive to my views seeking diagnosis.

The midwife Maeve Hankin is excellent and was very approachable, knowledgeable and quick to refer onward for physio/additional antenatal appointments.

Experience of telephone appointments has been very good and preferable for matters that really don’t need to be discussed in person and saves travel time.

Experience of in-person appointments on the whole very good. They do sometimes run late by a max of 30 minutes in my experience, but to be honest this never bothered me so much as long as I got seen.

Nurses are fantastic.

The doctors are useless and uncaring, you have to research your own symptom’s and also provide the remedies.
I’ve been told by one of the GPs that too many women are being diagnosed with adhd. I was told by one GP that my symptoms weren’t whooping cough, when I eventually persuaded him to do a test, it came back positive. They are dismissive and unhelpful. When you make a complaint, they threaten to remove you as a patient.

I’ve been a patient here for 4 years and they really go above and beyond. From a locom doctor referring me for further tests which found breast cancer (now I’m fine) to a push on my prescription meds that hadn’t arrived yet before a flight. Reception team as thorough as the doctors and nurses. Thank you.

The Dr's and nurses are good, the majority of the reception staff are nice and friendly, apart from one, who is rude and arrogant, and should not be working with members of the public, her mannerism is really bad

In complete stark contrast to my last surgery, every member of staff I have spoken to and had appointments with from reception to the doctors have been polite, professional and I feel like they actually care about me. I have had no issues resolving prescriptions queries and no difficulty getting an appointment. An absolute gem in our community.
