I have been with this health centre for 25 years. They have looked after me in many ways and I have found them very helpful and caring. Yes, there are some glitches but minor ones. The receptionist
have always been helpful and polite. My designated doctor was Dr.Tom Smith and he knew my body inside and out and was extremely realistic In my referrals. I am so lucky that I live five minutes away from the surgery and can pop in if there is an emergency. Many thanks, Fallondon Way for keeping me healthy as I enter into my 80s.

It is impossible to get an appointment with this surgery unless you wait to call them 8am sharp in the morning with the help of some good luck. Rest of the day if you call you will just be told they cannot do anything and you need to call tomorrow. There is clearly shortage of staff to the number of patients they are servicing at the moment.

I don't really like writing negative reviews of NHS services that I know are under pressure but I do feel strongly that Falladon Way is going downhill.

The reception staff are difficult to work with- they are occasionally hostile rather than understanding. Likewise, some of the clinical staff seem unable to treat patients with the same respect they expect of us.

The new policies seem designed to keep you away from the GP- it's increasingly hard to get an appointment from my young children and I feel we have to go through several pointless phone appts, advanced nurse appts before you can see someone. If you do, you'll then find monstrous waits and they never keep to time.

I feel somewhere along the way, the surgery adopted an attitude that patients are a nuisance and should be avoided.

I’m registered with this surgery after my old one closed down. I agree with the other reviewer- Reception is rude, not that intelligent and they lie regularly about arranging for a “duty doctor” to call and it’s invariably the pharmacist or a nurse who calls back. They are well intentioned people and I’m always polite to them but do not have the expertise to assess medications when I’ve had some serious issues. I don’t know and have not met my GP since joining and I find Dr Chapman’s lecture at the start of every phone call asking us to be kind extremely annoying. Especially when you listen afterwards to the options and the first three are for private referrals. So us non-private folk have to wait forever and also display kindness? What could be more ridiculous.

It would be interesting to know what the figure is for Falloden:
"In September 2024, another record-high of 63.57 million patients were registered with GP practices in England, an increase of 6.7 million since 2015. As a result, the average number of patients each full-time equivalent GP is responsible for now stands at 2,273" - BMA

It is extremely frustrating to deal with the reception here when you finally get through to them. The receptionist after hearing why I called told me to call another clinic despite my GP previously telling me to book another blood test here. A week later my doctor had to order an emergency blood test and it could have lead to devastating issues had I not used the NHS app to speak to my GP directly. The waiting ringtone constantly asks the callers to be kind as if people would have the time to call to just verbally abuse their receptionist but it is almost the other way around. I wish I was more insistent on that day.

Waiting online for someone to answer is absurd. You are told you are over 30 in line! What a service!! To top it all you have to listen to some patronising voice message about how they supposedly care. Do they bother to check these reviews - no.

Cannot get an appointment anymore after trying all week for my son. Best they could offer was a nurse. Then asked if we wanted to see her in person. Asked what the alternative was ‘Zoom’ . No a phonecall. This country is screwed.
