Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting walking distance to the centre of Cromer in less than 10 minutes. Jodie was really helpful when we were checking in and exceeded expectations as a receptionist. All the staff were really helpful. The room needed a bit of fresh paint in some part of ceiling, but not major improvements. Bathroom was really spacious and powerful shower. We had one diner on the first night wich was lovely crab salad and it was fresh and reasonable. 9 out of 10. Thank you, Nicholas

As this hotel is not like your modern hotels I've only given it a 4 star rating but that shows it is still a good hotel. Just being out of the town means it is quieter, it has a lovely sea view from the front rooms and access to the beach is just across the road. |Our room was adequate and the view was lovely. Amenities were fine although the plumbing on the third floor is not too dynamic!! The shower was almost non-existent!! |The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good. |It is a very pleasant hotel and if recommend it

I attended a course at this venue run by Feel Good Norfolk.

The rooms for the meeting were perfect. The buffet lunch was so very tasty with a great variety to suit many differing tastes. The chocolate brownies in particular …….. very tasty.

I would consider visiting the hotel again for a meal but maybe not a stay over as I live very close by.

Highly recommend.

An enjoyable stay in the Cliftonville. Thankfully its recent refurbishment has retained all of its Edwardian charm but regrettably its ancient plumbing was not included in its refit! Nonetheless, the lack of power and strange gurglings of our third floor bathroom facilities were outweighed by the magnificent sea views from our turret windows. Add to this the friendliness and charm of the girls on reception and in the dining room, the convenience of its location and the delights of the Sanders Coast Hopper buses passing the door regularly - you couldn’t ask for more! Nice comfy beds too. If I had to be picky, the serve yourself breakfast buffet was only mediocre. The fruit - piled in a bowl rather than arranged, ready prepared, on a platter - looked as if it had stood out on the table all week and was not refilled during our stay. However, the cooked breakfast selection was plentiful, hot and of good quality. The hotel is marketed as three stars and you ‘get what it says on the tin’. No frills, comfortable, welcoming, homely and above all, lovely and peaceful. A good addition to the Young’s chain …. BUT your cheap toilet paper lets you down - an economy you need to change!

The hotel is in itself is an impressive building that obviously had a lot of money spent on it when it was built. The entrance hall and function rooms are all very relaxing and well appointed. The stairway is inspiring. We stayed in room 1 which has the most amazing sea view. The bed was comfy and it was a room of large proportions. The bathroom was less impressive with a shower over the bath that was at best adequate. The bathroom has been put in for practicality over aesthetics and luxury. Three star is fair & you are paying for the sea view, grandeur of the building & friendly staff. Just a few things could have made our stay better (kettle was dirty, quilt was stained as was a towel & no water in the room on the first night & paint/paper hanging off the wall). We didn’t complain as it didn’t affect our stay but they are points to make to you aware of which would improve the overall experience.

Cromer is a wonderful old fashioned seaside town in its own right, but if you want to elevate your 'Cromer' experience, then I highly recommend you stay at the Cliftonville Hotel. |This is a venue that combines historic charm with comfort and luxury. The rooms are well appointed, and the onsite restaurant offers a wealth of gastronomic delights, with a well-stocked bar for refreshments. |And if you need any assistance, the super helpful reception staff are on hand to cater for your needs, defining a new high in customer service. |I stayed at Cromer over Christmas and was back recently for work, and considering I live in Melbourne, Australia, then this gives you an indication of how good the venue is if like-minded people such as myself are willing to travel 12,000 miles to stay here! |So, make sure you book your future accommodation at the Cliftonville - you won't be disappointed!

The hotel is wonderful. Our room had a fantastic sea view, including in the roll top bath in the ensuite. Staff are always very helpful and courteous. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough for a relaxing stay. Plenty of options to do exciting stuff around. Also very dog friendly, a really great bonus.
