Frustrating Experience with NHS Service Referral

I was referred by my GP surgery to the NHS Community Pharmacist Minor Illness Service at Jhoots Pharmacy, but the experience has been terrible. I received a call that lasted less than 60 seconds before it was cancelled, and my attempts to call back were unsuccessful. I've been unwell with flu, fever, and red eyes for four days and feel completely unsupported. This referral system seems ineffective and a waste of time when you need urgent care.

GPs often get a bad rep but have been going to Bradley Stoke GP with my two kids for three years. While the switch to an online form only is frustrating at times I always get an appointment same day when my kids need it, and I’ve always been met with professional and helpful people when in the surgery

Doctor’s surgeries often get a bad press. Bradley Stoke Surgery is brilliant. I always get an appointment, the online booking system is really convenient and all of the staff (from receptionists, nurses and doctors) are very professional in the care, advice and support they deliver. We are so fortunate in the UK to have free access to care such as this and we should commend surgeries and staff like those at Bradley Stoke who do an amazing job.

The reviews dont lie. This surgery is awful. Even with a complaint made I received a snotty answer phone message left for me yesterday leaving me no choice but to move surgerys in hope of some help at an alternative. Poor treatment. AVOID

They were a great surgery in past, where things used to be simple, you call them to book an appointment when you feel sick, they give you appointment quickly on phone and you were seen by a doctor or paramedic!
well this is not the case after they have installed a horrible online app called “klinik” where you waste your time entering details for 20 minutes, then the surgery call you back for pre assessment wasting again 20 more minutes on that call for both you and doctor, then you get appointment…. they are just wasting time these days ….. more burden on NHS !!!

Why is it that there is no allowance made for the elderly and disabled to have easier access to medical care! My son who is disabled is slow to answer questions fired at him.in a thoughtless, hurried way. Reception staff/ GPS should make notes on patients files explaining that these people need more time and care. It's appalling the way patients are treated by non medical and medical staff. Today I phoned for an appointment I am unable to move my arm I need painkillers as the pain is excruciating. No one phoned me back!! It's shocking no w what do I do? I am seeing physio direct at work next week as I am an NHS employee. I would never ever treat my patients in this underhand manner. Bradleystoke Surgery and its employees have a duty of care towards their patients and there atrocious lack of it is affecting the quality of life in many many people.

They take too long to return your call and when they do the never let the phone ring long enough and then never ring back if they don't get you first time. The physio did not put my complete problem on the system and now I have to go from the start. Waste of time. All they want you to do is use their klinic system but it does not work after all the appointments are gone. The receptionist told me yesterday she was going to get the result of my xray only to come back and tell me she was not medically trained and could not read xrays, so why tell me she could. THIS PRACTICE IA FAILING IN ITS PATIENTS EXPECTATIONS. Gone are the days of proper care from Dr's Todd and Douglas. You get a text message usually 2 minutes after they have closed so that makes you wait until the next day. THEY ARE ANTAGONISING PEOPLE AND MAKING THEM ANGRY. These staff need to understand that what may be routinely for them is a matter of life and death to the patient. They should treat how they want to be treated. Several times they just talk over you and then make you feel like they have done you a favour.

A circus! Filled with clowns! Definitely not a surgery where well prepared healthcare professionals should be treating the ill. I’ve only had unpleasant experiences since June this year. I had to contact the surgery several times due to ongoing health issues, not by choose but by must! (I have better things to do than waste my time filling out their never ending forms just for no reason). All they do they Google your health issues and prescribe you something based on the search result. Not once they have tried to prescribe me the one antibiotic which I am severely allergic to and I have reported this on my very first day with the surgery. I have to remind them every time of it and tell them this is on my health record, then they have the audacity to ask me if I’m sure about it before they actually go to check only to then react the same way each time “oh yes it is indeed recorded”. I would completely understand their attitude towards me if I’d be contacting them unnecessarily but I do only get in touch with them when I feel poorly. I know my body, I know when I am unwell and need to seek help and I would not waste a doctors time just because I’m bored. Therefore I expect to be treated with respect and trusted that I have genuine reasons and concerns when contacting my GP. I have experienced none of these! If they would take more patients seriously it would only make it easier for themselves as I’m sure we won’t have to return so many times if we would be consulted properly and offered the right treatment! The attitude of these doctors is absolutely shocking and disgusting!
All the respect to the front office staff and nurses who I’ve only had good experiences with though!
