Thank you for your great service, realising you are under a lot of pressure with lack of Doctors and staff.

A special thanks to Jo who is always cheerful - as are the other members of reception.

Phone goes dead after a lengthy intro, I’ve rang 5 times today and the same outcome. All for a cervical screening test that I am trying to book because they previously cancelled mine without notifying me, even text a reminder of the appointment and I turned up to blank faces. I was advised they couldn’t rebook it there and then because the nurse was poorly The receptionist then wrote my name on a scrap piece of paper and assured me they would contact me to rebook. This was 5 months ago, I am yet to hear a peep or even get through!!! Let’s hope I don’t have anything life threatening!

I am a patient at Asquith Surgery Leicester and have had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Bawa for my many ailments! She is the kindest doctor that I have come across, putting me at ease and explaining my medical problems. She is a very caring person which will be invaluable in her medical career and make her an excellent GP.
Sending kind regards and best wishes for her future.
Patricia Wall.

After some years away from Asquith Surgery I recently decided to return to the practice as my previous surgery just didn't provide the service I was wanting or needing.
The transition was easy with the online application, all of my medication was quickly moved over on the systmonline system , a diabetes check up was made for me and this morning I wanted to speak to a doctor about my leg pain. The phone call was taken in seconds, I was 1 in the queue and then a member of the reception staff picked up and made me a same-day telephone appointment which was kept.
Fantastic service and all the staff are very polite and professional.
Thank you Asquith, keep up the great work.
*Update* 18th October - we are always quick to moan if we get poor service but rarely offer praise if we receive good service.
Well, I'm pleased to report , once again, excellent service from Asquith surgery, I rang at bang on 8am to see if I could get a doctors appointment, got the prerecorded message then was informed I was number 1 in the queue, about a minute later one of the lovely receptionists answered and booked me a 10am appointment with the doctor, was offered a telephone appointment or come in to the surgery. I opted for the latter.
I got to the surgery with around 3 minutes to spare, logged on via the touchscreen in the waiting room, sat down and a few minutes later the doctor came in, said my name and I was up the stairs being seen . Very thorough, polite and professional , Dr Simbarashe Nduku was excellent, thank you to him and the team at Asquith for providing such a great service.

Appalling service. Over last 2 years, I have only been given a single in person appointment for pressing health issues (even when UK covid restrictions have been relaxed) which I had to spend over 2 weeks persisting, practically begging, for. The current wait for telephone appointment is over 6 weeks. The admin staff and receptionists are rude, condescending and very unprofessional. They keep on asking for personal health information and giving unreasonable and unwarranted medical advice, despite having no medical background or qualifications.

I recently had an incident where the office manager kept on cancelling my blood test appointment not only once, but 3 times - with the excuse that 2 nurses were off sick, I had to convince them of the urgency of these tests to keep the appointment. To my surprise, they were not understaffed at all and there were 2 nurses available.
I have written formal complaints regarding their poor services and the office manager's behaviour and mismanagement in particular, but the surgery seems to be unwilling to resolve the issues. Shockingly, the same manager I have complained about is undertaking the investigation into my complaint - which is hardly going lead to an impartial, unbiased investigation of my concerns.

I’ve never felt welcome at this surgery. Neither in person nor over the phone. It’s frustrating having to wait A MONTH for a GP call after getting abnormal tests results. The receptionists are trained to follow guidelines that do not contemplate special circumstances as underlying conditions. They need further training on social skills and guidelines need to be reviewed.
