I had a wonderful stay at Sprowston Manor Hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service. The hotel's atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming, and the beautiful surroundings create a peaceful retreat.

My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. The comfortable bed ensured a great night’s sleep, and I enjoyed waking up to lovely views of the grounds.

The dining experience was also top-notch, with a diverse menu that featured delicious, well-prepared dishes. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Additionally, the spa facilities are fantastic!  The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were beautiful and I indulged in a relaxing full body massage that left me feeling rejuvenated.

Overall, Sprowston Manor Hotel exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway. I can’t wait to return!"

Was greated OK by reception and given a room that was directly above the fans in the restaurant. Very noisy and it was very hot so didn't want to shut the window. |I was offered another room which was quieter but had to carry my laptop bag and suitcase up four flights of stairs. Without any offer of assistance which really surprised me as I asked if they had a lift to hint I needed help.!! No assistance was given. |Rooms basic, dust, and dead spiders in room and mould around bath seal. Yuck!!!|Leading up to the room decor marked, carpets dirty. |Didn't eat in restaurant that night as limited selection. Went to Tesco around the corner.... |Here for two nights, won't recommend coming back with work. |Expensive for the room, stayed in much nicer. Very squeaky floorboards too. |For the amount paid I'd expect the room to be serviced which it isn't. No room service either. Seems to be attempting to staff on a budget.

Where do I start ? What a lovely experience! We were at a wedding here. The setting was beautiful overlooking the water with the fountain in the background. From the moment we arrived at reception to when we left the following day every member of staff we came across was polite and went out of the way to be friendly and helpful. The food was lovely …. The most tender beef brisket ….and huge portions. Special mention to Pam and her team who were just fab. Also to the bar man whose name I didn’t catch who was there from the start, greeting us when we arrived at the marquee….a real trouper ! |The room we stayed in was a standard double …… but the bed was enormous ….and comfortable …we asked for extra pillows and they were there …..just like that ! The room was very clean with a lovely hot powerful shower and everything necessary for an overnight stay. There was no air conditioning but we had a tower fan. Never heard a peep from elsewhere once we were in the room. Breakfast ….. was plentiful and more than catered for our needs.|All in all such a lovely stay ….. thank you Sprowston manor !,

We have just returned from a lovely weekend away to Sprowston Manor. We stayed in room 111 which was named the Ranworth suite. On arrival the place looked stunning. We were greeted by reception and checked in smoothly. Everything was explained to us and we had to choose the time we wanted to have breakfast (various half hourly slots offered) and was advised to book dinner as they said they could not guarantee a table otherwise, which we did for the first night.|On arrival to our suite the room was lovely and spacious but true to say the decor was tired and I note people mentioned the windows and yes, they could do with a bloody good clean!|We had an issue with a dirty pillow case (God only knows how housekeeping did not spot this when making up the bed!) which was swiftly rectified with an apology. |There was plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits (nice touch) and a coffee making machine (which we did not bother to use). There was a fridge in the cabinet under the telly in the lounge area and the bed was two singles zipped together so was nice and big and comfortable. The telly in the bedroom could be pulled forward on the shelving unit so made it easier to watch.|The grounds were lovely and there was a prom being held the Friday we arrived and a wedding on the Saturday. The venue is clearly set up for these sorts of functions so you will hear noise from the disco/marquee if your room is that side of the building. We were the other side so did not notice any noise. |The meal on the evening we arrived was not great. We did have issues with our meals but fair play to them, they got it sorted straight away and gave us complementary desserts as way of an apology. It did put us off eating the second night so we went to the Castle Carvery - Racecourse pub, which was cheaper and much nicer in our opinion (£11 each way taxi).|We did use the pool/spa facilities which were ok. There were lockers in the changing rooms (you need a pound coin for this) and we had bath robes in our wardrobes so used these plus the towels they gave us in the spa. There was a nice outside area for lounging too. The sauna and steam room was nice but the jacuzzi was crap! More bubbles if I farted frankly!|The pool is set up for lane swimming only and there is a children's section. |All in all we enjoyed our stay but would we stay here again? Probably not to be honest unless they gave the place a bloody good clean!

My husband and I stayed for two nights the week before Easter. Lovely hotel. Clean, great decor. The outlook from our room was delightful. We saw lots of bunnies on the golf course. The food was delicious too. We had breakfast both days and an evening meal on one night. The staff were professional and friendly with great customer service.

its a beautiful place and has always been held in high esteem, despite a recent adverse food hygene rating!|my concern last sunday was that the only bar open to get a drink in this vast complex was the the golf club house! its a nice place but we joined a queue of 12 people! there was just one barman and he also had to keep disappearing to make bar snacks in the kitchen!! the guy in question was excellent- rushed off his feet, but time for everyone and very efficient- guy deserves a pay rise, but c'mon shame on the management

I don't generally write reviews but in this case felt that I should. My husband organised a weekend away for my 50th birthday as a treat and a rare couple of days off. The grounds and reception area are well kept and welcoming, after this though there is a clear lack of care. The hallways are not particularly clean with bag strikes and other marks on all of the walls and doors, the glass in most of the doors and windows is dirty, there was a smear of something that had originally been wet across the glass in the door at the top of the stairs all weekend, it would have taken a couple of minutes to clean. The door closer on the exit door downstairs kept dropping, meaning you had to manually lift it to get in and out of the door which is a safety issue. Our room was OK at first glance, a bit tired, with marked walls with a handle missing on the wardrobe door and unusually a couple of steps just inside the door with no warning which I tripped over and bruised myself on the fireplace. Later in the evening we found out that the bed was uncomfortable, a zip and link with one hard mattress and one that had a massive dip in it and they were not zipped together leaving a gap in the middle. The fuse box by the door had a label on it saying that it had been tested but that expired in October 24. The door closers on all of the doors need attention and adjusting, as you lay in bed you are shaken by the doors from other rooms and the hallway banging every time someone passes through. On the Saturday morning I quietly mentioned the bed to the receptionist who was defensive but said she would send someone up, they just zipped them together while we were at breakfast and did not acknowledge there was anything wrong at all. On the Friday night we tried to order coffee in the bar to be told the machine was out of order, it was still out of order at breakfast the next morning and there wasn't any orange juice either, when I asked I was told they had run out an hour ago. On Saturday night there was a wedding and a birthday party. We were not part of either but had been placed in a room that directly overlooked the garden of the bar and faced the marquee. The music and kids running around having a screaming competition went on until 12.30am, they clearly had a lovely time but we were away for a restful weekend, had any thought gone into room allocations? Breakfast on the Sunday was slightly better, there was coffee and watery orange juice but it was very basic and not really in keeping with what they claim to be. When we came to check out the receptionist took the key cards and just said 'that's it, all done' no - goodbye, no - have a nice day, and this is reflective of the staff attitude everywhere, no customer care or interaction beyond what's absolutely necessary. ||The hotel needs a good clean and the manager needs to go around and make a list of all the simple inexpensive repairs and tasks that would make a huge difference to the impressions of guests. Also, you need to reinstate daily housekeeping which is opt out rather than opt in, this is an expectation and guests should not have to traipse to reception to request toilet paper or bin bags; at the very least, part of the arrival process should ask if you would like housekeeping during your stay. We have run a 7 room bed and breakfast for the last 15 years which is why we have so few days off, it also makes us more tolerant guests as we know how hard it is to get everything right, but in this case there was so much wrong it could not be ignored. All in all a disappointing stay.
