I spent £600 plus £75 insurance with Quay Orthotics at Burton Waters for allegedly custom orthotic insoles in an attempt to relieve my plantar fasciitis. Judge for yourself how ‘custom’ they actually are when you see them before spending your £600 - and be sure to ask about their fees for follow-up appointments! Despite assurances that there would be considerable relief over time, the result over more than year of intensive use has been almost no improvement whatsoever. Since then I have spent around £10 for orthotic insoles from Amazon and I got better results for a fraction of the cost.

I can't speak highly enough of Pam and her team at Quays Orthotics. I had a set of orthotics made by Pam for my mother back in 2021 which have served her extremely well after a terrible previous experience with the NHS had left her in a lot of pain and discomfort.
Just want to say thanks to Pam (and her lovely staff member) for seeing us for a review last week and I know that going forward we have the best person available to help us with any issues that may occur in the future.

I had my consultation back in May 2021 and returned in early July for my £600 insoles plus £75 insurance.
I explained that I did more walking than the average person which was not a problem in Pams eyes.
I promise you all who will read this that sadly the insoles were a waste of money in my honest opinion and have not worked whatsoever.
The aftercare is non existent....I have never received one text or email since parting with my hard earned cash.
Bitterly disappointed and have since visited a chiropodist who has made significant progress at a cost of 40 pounds for the insoles and foot treatment totalling 60.

I went for a consultation in May and to be honest was initially very sceptical whether orthotics would be worth the cost. After some deliberation I bought with the confidence of the guarantee of refund if they didn't work for me. I can't express how much of a difference they have made and how pleased I am that I did buy. The relief was almost immediate and after five years of constant pain in my feet, I was pain free after just 5 days. My only regret is that I didn't buy sooner ... Orthotics are not cheap but the difference is worth every penny. In the space of 5 week's I've been able to take up walking again, and have already lost 7lbs, so an added bonus.

I first discovered Quay Orthotics about 4 years ago, after spending 2 years suffering from foot pain that doctors and podiatrists couldn’t resolve. I had a free consultation with Pam and she spotted my problem straight away. She suggested a Orthotic shoe insert, which was custom made for my feet and I honestly haven’t looked back. Within a few weeks my pain was eased and now I am pain free. I am back to walking 3 to 4 miles a day and going on walking holidays, with no pain.
I never felt pressured to buy the orthotics, but Pam’s knowledge was enough to persuade me, the orthotic inserts aren’t cheap, but I don’t think you can put a price on getting back to the things you enjoy with no pain and the aftercare service is brilliant. I took out the insurance, so I get one free refurbishment A year and replacements if my inserts are lost or stolen. Perfect.
The team at Quay Orthotics are always friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I cannot thank Pam and Chris at Quay orthotics enough. From my first email to Pam, she has gone out of her way to reply to all my questions and emails promptly and made me feel like no question was a silly one. My first appointment with Chris at their Irvine clinic was simply amazing. He made me feel at ease from the word go and spent the time listening to my complex medical history and noting it all down. He immediately set out all the options that he thought would be the most suitable for me and let me try out some samples he had available. Within minutes of trying out the two options we had a clear winner, and I was able to put my foot flat on the floor and walk with an almost normal gait for the first time in 12 weeks. Chris also went above and beyond checking simple things such as the length of both legs to ensure we added any necessary raises. The splint also arrived super quickly and the fitting appointment was booked for the following week. Once again Chris did not make me feel rushed at all during the fitting appointment and even took the time to take before and after videos. One last thing which contributed to my experience with Quay Orthotics was simply helping me and my mum to and from the car with my wheelchair and Zimmer frame. I look forward to booking in my review appointment in a few weeks times and also working with Chris to look at potential new solutions and splints for my thumbs and wrists.

I wasn't expecting such a place to be in Burton Waters but when the owners explained about the free disabled parking and the possibility to remove a bollard for access to the front of the shop - it made sense.
we were met with tea & coffee - which was very nice. We took the option for the free 15min consultation after finding out there may be an 8 month wait for an NHS Apt.
So the consultation was carried out and some changes suggested and a piece of equipment added to one shoe.
The result is that after four hours; my wife is pian free for the first time since her operation.

Had a real problem with my back which turned out to be the fact I had one leg slightly longer than the other!! Quays Orthotics diagnosed the issue immediately, recommended a solution (which worked 100%) and didn’t charge me a fortune. Would absolutely recommend for good honest advice from knowledgeable people.
