I found Hugh by chance and have not regretted it. I had major shoulder surgery to repair my rotator cuff; a similar procedure to something Hugh himself had been through, which meant he completely understood my issue. He was very sympathetic and reassuring - I was very keen to get back to swimming and biking which, before I went to see him, felt like I would never be able to do. I was having physiotherapy elsewhere, but it did not address some of the pain I was experiencing or loss of mobility. Hugh, through practical exercises, hands on massage and explanation, he got me back to where I was per-operation, which is just fantastic. I won't go anywhere else now, he really is very good and I would highly recommend Hugh to anyone.

I came to see Hugh when I had a problem with my hip & knee at the end of April. I wasn't walking well, was struggling to ride my pony & had problems when gardening. Thanks to his effective treatments and exercises I am now able to do everything without any pain or discomfort. This is the second time that Hugh has sorted out a problem for me. I came to Hugh with a frozen shoulder at the beginning of December and in 6 weeks the progress has been amazing. I am now almost totally free of discomfort. Having knee problems at 75 felt a little ominous and I thought I would need serious intervention. However Hugh put my mind at rest and my knee. With manipulation, exercises, not so much walking and lots of cycling my knee is much stronger and I feel confident descending the stairs normally and not one step at a time.

I had spent some time (months) with a rugby/age back and hip injury hoping it would "fix itself", it doesn't. Hugh provided expert and considered advice, diagnosing the potential cause quickly and then verifying his theory, through test exercises and range of movement tests. Over the weeks the pain reduced, in severity and scale, the area in my hip and lower back that I was feeling it.
As I improved, Hugh has moved me onto strengthening exercises, and spaced out my appointments. It is not cost and appointments to line his pocket, only when really needed. Genuine Value for Money.
Yesterday we declared victory. I have work to do on my own, BUT would not be where I feel able to begin running and exercising again today without Hugh's experience and expertise. Would, and have, recommended to friends and family.
