Severn Fields Medical Practice

Such a shame. This used to be a half decent practice that has been circling the drain since moving to Sundorne Rd & joining forces with Albert Rd. In the last 5, I have given up on this surgery only ever calling now if I absolutely have to for a repeat prescription, which takes about a week... A WEEK... When you are in absolute agony, it takes a WEEK for their system to update & send a simple email to the phamacist just downstairs. Absolute dross!!! "Use the NHS app", I'm told, which doesn't work. A male receptionist that speaks to you like you're dirt. "Who did you speak with?". How on earth do we know? They never bother giving names & nobody has a name badge. Basics of Customer Service, completely missed. And to think we pay for this... Shameful.

Complete waste of time, why do the receptionist get me to explain medical conditions to tell me I need to speak to a doctor, I didn’t ring for a general chat!!! I then waited all day for a call, I called them at 5pm where I was lied to as the receptionist said they tried calling me. Then when I asked why have I not had any missed calls or a voicemail left? She replied rudely I’m not a liar I’m now been put on hold for a transplant because of there complete lack of being able to do there jobs Wouldn’t bother you have more chance of winning the lottery than these idiots sorting anything

Receptionists are very rude. Do not listen and hang up when you are halfway through a call. The app said they weren't busy, so I called to be rushed through my call. I have had inhalers refused by a receptionist before and was told to call back in six weeks. A receptionist not a qualified doctor.

I had a shoulder scan 6 weeks ago was told that Severnfields would be Intouch in around 4 weeks time, I did here via text to make a appointment to have a over the phone chat with the doctor I have been trying for 2 weeks but being told no availability Doctors off sick, then the receptionist says it’s ok as scan is not serious that might be correct but for gods sake I am in pain so would have liked some advice, thank goodness I don’t go to the doctors much. But I can’t believe things have come to this!!!

Awful. My boyfriend has been ringing daily to try and get an appointment and was told that there are no appointments available. This has been going on for months now, and still hasn’t been seen by a doctor. If you are sick it is assumed you go to the doctors, how is this possible when the practice is not giving appointments out? Everytime he has called the practice he was made to feel like his issue was not important and given the impression that they did not care.

26th October 2021: Absolutely amazing Medical "Health Village" come Centre and very impressive buildings and set up! Architecturally impressive and lots of different medical skills here all under one roof...even has a pharmacy/chemist catering for your medicated prescription! Well done Shrewsbury for such an incredible medical centre

Staff are lovely but system in place is the worst ever!! Telephoned for an appointment and today is a Thursday was told to phone back monday!!. When did the system become so backwards and when did it become common practice for us to divulge our health problems with the reception team before we can get an appointment. Every other doctors practice and I'm talking from West Sussex to Norfolk you ask to see a doctor and your given an appointment without questions because your health concern is between you and the doctor. On a previous visit my daughter needed her medication they put us with a nurse instead of the GP although we requested a GP, we visited on a friday early afternoon, was told the prescription would be available on monday as a doctor needs to sign it!! Come monday, tuesday, Wednesday pharmacy still hadnt recieved it. Find out that doctor didn't sign the prescription luckily it wasn't life saving medication.
