Review of Holiday Inn

Booking
The reservation was made via Booking.com. Upon arrival, there was a brief issue as my booking could not be located in the system, potentially due to a communication issue between Booking.com and Holiday Inn. However, this was resolved promptly by the staff. The parking area offers ample spaces, though it is important to register your vehicle upon arrival.

Room
The room was comfortable and clean, with air conditioning that significantly enhanced sleep quality. Requests for additional bathroom items were addressed efficiently. The bathroom itself was well-maintained, with a clean toilet and shower, and adequate complementary shampoo and body wash provided. The television offered a wide variety of channels, and the room featured adequate seating and table space for meals or other uses. Additional amenities, such as sufficient power outlets, an iron, and a hairdryer, added to the convenience.

Breakfast
The breakfast selection was diverse, offering both traditional English and continental options. A good variety of hot beverages was available via a self-service machine.

Facilities
The hotel features a gym with a well-equipped selection of machines suitable for a comprehensive workout. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during my stay. Additionally, there is a footpath located behind the hotel, providing convenient access to the town center and serving as a pleasant route for walking, running, or cycling.

Staff
The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, contributing positively to the overall experience.

Lovely hotel .
I was tired after driving from Inverness , stopped and booked a room. arrived parked my vehicle and trailer in car park which is free not like premier inn who charge for it!.
Went to reception got my key.
They also had a bar and were still serving food a big bonus .
Room was clean and warm 25 degrees perfect as outside was 3 degrees.
Quite and comfy room nothing to complain about .
One thing re receipt please just issue a vat invoice to every one .

The hotel is amazing, great for for families, including dogs! We enjoyed swimming pool, sauna, play area. There is a small kids corner next to restaurant as well. The room was clean, comfortable beds, kettle, hairdryer and iron in a room. |Staff very friendly.|We will come back there!

A Pleasant Stay at Holiday Inn Lancaster

Our recent two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Lancaster, inclusive of breakfast, was a positive experience. The hotel’s convenient location off the M6, coupled with ample parking, made it an ideal base for exploring Lancaster, Morecambe, and the Lake District.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the reception staff and quickly checked into our well-appointed Premium room. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a well-stocked fridge and plush dressing gowns. The effective heating ensured a cozy stay.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including a hearty full English breakfast. The food was well-presented, hot, and satisfying. The attentive staff efficiently cleared tables and maintained a clean dining area.

We also took advantage of the hotel's leisure facilities, which included a warm pool, a well-equipped gym, a sauna, and a steam room.

The hotel's complimentary parking was a convenient perk, and the availability of nearby EV charging stations was a plus for eco-conscious travelers.

Throughout our stay, we found the staff to be consistently helpful and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.

Stayed as an IHG member so expected something nice. Receptionist that cannot smile and certainly not made welcome. A fridge in the room with a couple of cans and 2 kitkats that we later discovered were complimentary, but no one tells you. The bed collapsed either side so getting out is almost like rolling onto the floor. A premium room with a standard double bed that is anything but premium. |The evening meal is definitely something you need to miss. Pie and mash that is below the standard of any pub is vastly overpriced, and whilst the breakfast is better, at £16.95 is greatly overpriced. |I would suggest taking a walk across the road to the Brewer's Fayre where you get the same but at a better quality for just £10.99. Do the same for your dinner. |As for the bar, no chocolate, no crisps and a pint + J2O costs £9. |This really is the place to go if you want to get ripped off!

Our room was overlooking the main road and the bedroom window did not close tightly enough which meant that we could hear traffic noise. The bathroom floor was warped from water soaking through from the shower. The bathroom door when we got there was making a terrible noise due to the hinge being dry. I reported this to the receptionist on our way out for the day and suggested that maintenance needed to put oil the hinge. I saw the maintenance man making his way into the hotel with a can of oil in his hand, but when we returned later that evening I found out that nothing had been done to our bathroom door. We tried to use the wet area but the steam room and the jacuzzi were both out of use. This probably was a lovely hotel and could be again but it needs some modernization!

We came to Lancaster, straight after 4 nights in a Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh. The Holiday Inn in Lancaster was a big improvement in two respects. The bedroom in Lancaster ( we had a premium room) was a lot more spacious with plenty of storage space. Secondly, breakfast was a much more relaxed experience after the crowds and noise in Edinburgh. There was greater variety and quality of food on offer, and the restaurant wasn’t too busy.|Although the hotel is on the edge of an industrial estate, the River Lune runs behind the hotel. So before we checked out we had an interesting walk beside the river and over the Lune aqueduct.

The breakfast tram were fantastic here as were housekeeping and reception. I could not fault anyone at all! The only downside is that the rooms/duvets are hot even with the windows open. So sleep was a bit difficult. Lots of choice at brekkie.
