I've had many problems with this surgery. The latest is that on booking an appointment they didn't have one for five weeks and then only a telephone appointment. I needed to wait in the whole morning 8.30-12.30 to take the call. At 10.30am I called them to confirm the booking only to be told it was for the afternoon and with another gp (a gp i new so specifically asked at booking not to have this gp i knew). They said it was because the original gp booked for me was on leave. They had not advised me of any of this, the change of phone contact time, change of gp and even changing to a doctor I asked not to see because I know her. I've had many recent causes to complain about this surgery but nothing changes. I can't believe the Care Quality Commission gave this surgery a good rating but then they give 80% of surgeries a good rating but pre book visits to them rather than turning up unannounced or even reading the reviews.

Her clear explanation of the new procedures for obtaining medications, as well as her guidance on utilizing alternative methods, is greatly appreciated. The receptionists are always cold and clearly miserable. I don’t need to deal with someone like that first thing in the morning when I’m already trying to hold it together. Honestly, I’d love if they got replaced. They’re just awful. Every time I walk in, it’s like they make things worse on purpose.

Wish there was a NO star option. I don’t recommend this GP. The doctors are fine I guess, but the biggest put off is the reception team. The new team as of now 2025, bot like, refuse to give appointments unless you press them for it. Dismissive, careless and lack empathy. They are not suitable to be working with patients who are vulnerable and in need. I’m slowly starting to hate this GP, if nothing is done about these depressed women, I will leave and take my whole family out of this terrible practise. The is team of mean grown women will run this practise out of business.

While reception is good, and generally the nurses are helpful and friendly. Can't say that for the GP's. Rarely call when stated they will and in my own case took 10 days to authorise a simple repeat prescription despite repeated requests via Reception. Only acted when I suggested a formal complaint might be in order.
