I have recently moved surgery’s. The team who answer the phone lines are always so helpful and kind. Never rude or short with me like other surgery’s I have been too. I visited the surgery recently which was a pleasant experience. Quick check in and was seen on time. Dr Lee was excellent. 10/10. Thankyou for all you do for us. Gives the NHS a good name.

We moved to this area from a lovely surgery in Woolacombe we picked this surgery based on the reviews, whilst 1 interaction with the nurse whilst having a standard vaccination she was welcoming and friendly, the rest of the staff in particular the reception are not. Its almost like they want to keep all patients at arms length after Covid. Its not welcoming its a cold almost hostile atmosphere. Making patients feel unwelcome and they are quite rude when telephoned to make an enquiry. I have now moved surgery again in the hope we can find more welcoming staff!

I am beyond annoyed.

Booked an appointment for my son for 18:00 for some injections. At 17:55 we are outside, the door is locked, I press the buzzer; no answer. I then see a sign saying closed for staff training, I try calling to see if they reopen at 18:00, I get "the surgery is now closed" message. I pop into the pharmacy and ask if they're closed-closed and she says yes for staff training - confirming what the sign said.
I arrive home and get a message saying we missed an appointment and in future to let them know we won't be attending.
I try calling to ask about the message but they close their incoming lines in the evening so I couldn't even speak to anyone about it.

I have been with this practice for over 30 years and I cannot fault them. My doctor Dr Danielson is probably the best GP I've ever had. Today I had a medical emergency and have to say the service I received from this practice was above and beyond. The receptionist that took my call was very understanding and showed me great compassion. Dr Lee phoned through to the hospital and I was seen and diagnosed very quickly! So thank you Wooda Surgery you really are the best. Special thanks to Dr Lee!

Joined a few months ago and couldn’t be happier with the service. Receptionists are pleasant and helpful. GP’s have been lovely and sorted out any problems I have. Highly recommend

Twice in the last six months I have had bland rudeness from two different receptionists at Wooda Surgery. The latest occurred after immense and inexplicable difficulty getting information from Exeter RDE Hospital onto Wooda surgeries information records, but there was absolutely no excuse for them to hang up the phone on me and call me abusive. The phone call followed two fruitless visits to the surgery to try and resolve the same issue. The last reviewer said more or less the same about receptionist rudeness. I just wish to add some of the reception staff are absolutely lovely, but one or two are bad apples. The practise manager whom I spoke with immediately afterwards gave me all sorts of details about the efforts they had been making to get the missing information, but when I checked with the hospital this was completely denied. There had been one eMail only, at my instigation, they said. For years and years I have always left chocolates at reception for their staff at Christmas, but right now I feel like not bothering any longer. God only knows how on earth the rude staff would cope with a Tourettes patient - but I suspect it would be more or less even odds.

The doctors are lovely here one of the receptionists needs some customer service training and waiting 3 weeks for a doctors appointment is a bit off putting. Out of 4 appointments ive only met my doctor once. Newest update apparently even crying and begging on a phone to see or speak to your doctor doesn't work. I've worked all my life always paid for prescriptions etc bit yet can't even get into see adopter. I've never known anything like it. Ring in the morning to see by chance if you can speak to your doctor for a phone appointment. This surgery really knows how to make somebody's anxiety problem worse

We visited this surgery whilst on holiday. Reception staff were understanding and flexible, and the nurse we visited as part of minor injuries clinic was excellent and caring. Thanks so much, it was a real weight of my mind to receive good care whilst away from home.
