We are on holiday in Westward Ho! 240 miles from home. Our own GP surgery was terrible, refused to help over the phone, phoned this surgery as it was local, they saw my son same day and were so friendly and kind, prescribed antibiotics needed so helped us to relax and enjoy the rest of our break

I have been seeing Dr King for past 5 years or so maybe more. He has always been very comprehensive in his diagnosis and explains things very well. Nothing is too much trouble and he is meticulous in follwing up on further consulations as required. Strange thing to say but I enjoy the visits. Excellent doctor and service.

I have recently moved to Northam and I have just had a first appointment at Northam Surgery with Dr King , and can I say what an amazing service, very kind Doctor who immediately puts you at your ease and he sorted everything out for me . I came away thinking what an incredibly good service I had received . The lady on reception is always very welcoming and helpful as well . I would definitely recommend Northam Surgery as an extremely good practice and I am very pleased I chose them as my doctors

Excellent GP. Having had cancer the GP service has been incredible. The admin and clinical staff are alway helpful and the surgery offers a wide range of services and online services to book and check results and order prescriptions. Very friendly practice and highly recommended

I recently had the pleasure of witnessing some wonderful patient care at this practice. While sitting in the waiting room, I observed the receptionist, Pat (if I heard her name correctly). Her exceptional manner and the time she dedicated to assisting a patient who was a little confused was truly impressive.

Whilst it is extremely frustrating that it is so difficult to get a non-emergency appointment, I would like to say how much I appreciate the service provided by Dr Lynch. Both on the phone and in person, she strikes just the right tone and is efficient without making you feel rushed, warm, understanding and generally a lovely person to deal with.

Completely lack the compassion for patients, was rushed on the phone. Been waiting hours and hours just for a phone call, requested that they another number as the one they kept ringing was actually going through and they havent. Probably the worst doctors surgery in the Bideford/Northam area

I look forward to changing from this doctors surgery. I phoned because my son keeps having Asthma attacks, I was then asked if its a medical emergency, to which I said I dont know. I was then told to call back on Monday to make an appointment. I couldn't even make an appointment for Monday, today, in spite of being on the phone ! I was then accused of being rude, although I wasn't being rude. The receptionist was singularly unhelpful and "robotic" No sympathy or humanity what so ever. I now have two choices, either go to A&E or call back on Monday to make an appointment.

Its frankly pathetic that surgery's are not operating properly we pay enough taxes and children should take priority, COVID isnt going away and most of us have been jabbed now !
