I've gone in to have a health check that unfortunately was cancelled and no one messaged me to let me know so it was a waste of my time to be honest, but mistakes happen, we are all human.
It is very inconvenient due to work/children to re-book but I had too.

The receptionist there was fantastic and he spent time searching for another appointment that suited me. So thank you very much, you are truly a star ?

My wife and I have no complaints about the practice.
We are contacted about upcoming appointments and upcoming treatments/ injections etc
Phoning for an appointment can be frustrating but the use of the website usually results in prompt response

I have never been treated with rude receptionist staff. You can never get appointment. I am leaving this surgery because of the unprofessional services. I made a compleat and they just covered it up. I would not use this surgery and I am not the only one how thinks this. Read the reviews. Very poor.

I’ll just copy and paste what I sent to the practice below:

To whom it may concern, (I would address the practice manager here but I actually have something to say regarding them as well and don’t find them pleasant at all.)I would like to register this feedback as an official complaint to The Market Surgery.

After being a patient at the surgery for my entire life I am shocked and appalled at the treatment staff give patients on a very regular basis. I can only comment from personal experience when I say that reception and particularly dispensary handle matters in nothing short of a disgusting manner and I cannot believe it still continues when the surgery is closed so often for supposed “training.” It is absolutely shocking and disgusting in the way staff treat patients. I have been dismissed, humiliated and talked down to more times than I can count by every member of staff at reception and on the dispensary (except the woman who does the blister packs. She’s the only nice one there. Take notes.)

Today I even had a woman on the dispensary encourage me to get the crisis team to contact her after I told her that the crisis team instructed them (and emailed) to dispense my LIFE SAVING medication, to which she responded “please do,
please do get them to contact me.” In a disgusting tone.

I honestly wonder, actually I don’t wonder, I know, people have probably harmed themselves after dealing with the absurd behaviour of your staff. It is nothing short of disgusting. You are at this job to help vulnerable people, not make them feel worse.

I cannot count the amount of times your team has had me in tears, frustrated, crying, and filling me full of lies. It’s down right wrong and unacceptable. I will be writing to NHS England regarding this.

When you take a job in the health service you have a responsibility to HELP others. I’m surprised half of the people even work there since they’re clearly not concerned for human life. Your automated message asks you to be kind to staff. Perhaps the staff should consider being kind to patients.

I was enjoying my holidays in Norfolk when I suddenly had urgency to go to a GP as I was feeling unwell. The Market Surgery promptly answered, registered me in their database and I got a phone call from the GP on duty in less than 2 hours. The GP promptly prescribed me the medication I needed so I could solve the symptoms. I went to the surgery and everyone was helpful and there is a Surgery Pharmacy where I managed to collect my prescription. Just an amazing service, thank you all!!

I have never had a bad experience with the market surgery and I’ve been there all my life. As far as I’m concerned they good. I’ll see you on the same day of necessary and if they can’t get a phone call as soon as possible, there is no complaints about the place.

As per usual you can't buy an appointment with this mob. Tried booking an advanced appointment 3 days ago for when I get home as I work away. They don't accept that, telling you that you must phone at 8am to get an appointment. So phoned at 8am, to get blatently lied to. So 10.30 I drive to the surgery to try again, to once again be blatently lied too. The reason for being blatently lied too is when someone could actually be bothered to phone at 11.45, there was no chance of getting an appointment in the first place. So then spent 4 hours in A&E to get sorted and another appointment on Monday at the hospital.

All I'm asking is be honest, if you genuinly are completly mismanaged, or your staff are just incompetent and down right lazy, just say you can't really be bothered with patients for the day. I could have gone straight to A&E rather then putting your receptionist out on having to go to all the effort of answering a phone. I'm also very sorry that i took someones valuable time up to phone me back that has me in a position that I can't work or claim anything to pay the taxes that allow you to play God with folks livelyhood.

Google need to give the option of zero stars. As it was no problem getting an appointment when you got paid per jab.

I am enormously grateful that my family has The Market Sugery as our practice. Throughout the past few years we have had superb care, despite the NHS struggles, and what must have been very challenging times for everyone. I personally am still clapping for them! THANK YOU
