I approached Lisa 6 months ago, looking for an alternative approach to managing our 4 year old daughters recurrent respiratory illnesses, and viral induced wheezes. Prior to contacting Lisa, our daughter was continuously unwell and prescribed various inhalers/medications, none of which seemed to be doing anything to help her. With Lisa’s gently enquiring and empathic approach, she worked with us to identify the most effective remedies to support our daughter, with the aim of weaning her off the prescription medications, whilst also reducing both the severity and frequency of the illnesses. Fast forward 6 months, our daughter has now been free of her inhalers for the past two months, is catching far fewer viruses, and is far less impacted by any virus she does catch. This is in stark contrast to how she faired previously, with regular hospital admissions, days off school and generally very poorly. Lisa was wonderful with me from the start. She has listened with great care to everything I was going through when I first met her, has been incredibly patient and insightful so far with my long recovery (which isn't done, but I have a lot to heal, so it takes its time), she has always shown she would be happy to help no matter if its within a session or a few messages of assistance in between for additional support and the two reiki sessions I had with her (additional to the homeopathy) were amazing, I felt a profound change and release. She always takes her time which makes me feel valued and important rather than being 'pushed at the door because "time is up"' and that... Is invaluable. Thank you for everything. I am recovering from a Total Knee Replacement carried out 2 weeks ago. As a result of the operation my knee was giving me some pain, swelling and getting warm to the touch. Lisa suggested Reiki and although sightly sceptical at the thought that “passing hands around the operation site” could help, I said ok.
She made me comfortable and asked me to relax. I closed my eyes and after a while began to feel a warming sensation around the operation site.
When she had finished the session the warming sensation continued for a while.
Over the next 12 to 14 hours the pain subsided a little, the redness of the wound changed to a more normal skin colour and the swelling had slightly reduced. 2 days on and the swelling has reduced further and the pain has also reduced.
Many Thanks Lisa for your help and next time would will not be so sceptical about the power of Reiki.
