The reception staff are really quick and helpful. When I have gone in for consultations I feel understood and the doctors do not miss the mark. I'm sure I have at times been a bit annoying when calling them but they are nonetheless always very professional. Please keep up the great work!

Just back from a smear test and thought I'd leave a review as it is so difficult to find somewhere good. I really don't like having this procedure done after a traumatic birth a few years back, but Adwoa was so friendly and professional (and very quick!) and really put me at ease so I had no problems this time - NHS at its best, thank you 🙂

I have been with this surgery for 10 years, and every interaction I have had with staff, be that reception, nurses or doctors, has been of the highest standard. Exceptionally helpful, professional and friendly, I have always been put at my ease. They offer a wide range of services many of which I have taken advantage of as a patient with complex needs.
I have moved out of area and very sad to have to leave such an exceptional practice. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an excellent local surgery.

I am really surprised at the negativity towards this surgery. I don't leave reviews lightly. Dr Botwood is absolutely amazing. The receptionists have always been super helpful when I have needed them to be. I am so grateful to Dr Botwood. Best surgery I have ever been to.

With how difficult it has proven to be - trying to get a gp appointment over the phone, contacting Upper Norwood Gp online via email has probably been the best service NHS has provided post-covid! It is quick and efficient and very easy to navigate. With in hours, I’m on the phone to a polite receptionist ready to book me in for either a telephone consultation or face to face. Honestly, I have no issue trying to reach a clinician with E-consult! 🙂

I always get through quickly to people that are polite and calm. The reception team do not feel like the usual GP guard dogs. And the doctors have always been respectful and insightful.

I had a phone conversation with GP Mr Sivathasan about a concern, an enquiry. He took it upon himself to enter this enquiry as an actual diagnosis, as if I the patient could possibly diagnose myself, and has now added that to my medical record. It now appears I had a condition I never had, all because I made an enquiry.
I informed the Practice manager about the issue, but she like Mr Sivathasan has no care whatsoever about record accuracy. A disgraceful GP backed up by a disgraceful Practice manager.

Poorly managed practice, seemingly unable to figure out how to manage a working phone system. There have been entire weeks when the phone systems are out. They direct you to an app that doesn't work. You get a different GP every time you call and have to wait for a random call on their time with no way of phoning back if you miss it. I've had days when I've been waiting with a sick child in a panic in case I somehow walked away from the phone for a second and missed the call.

I've have to google conditions before hand so that I can tell the doctor what it is due to the number of misdiagnoses from the GP staff which has resulted in having to spend time in A&E or after hours clinics. If someone could recommend a better option I'd move clinics now. Avoid.
