I am really disappointed I have to write this. I normally would never leave a bad review, especially for the NHS, but I am sick to the back teeth

My issues are regarding prescriptions which are ranging from prescriptions not been there when I arrive at the pharmacy last minute as I have not been able to get out due to work commitments because and because the surgery has not sent the prescription at all / to been accused of"pedalling drugs"

My problems began when I was diagnosed with arthritis a couple of years back and was put on opioids for pain management.

Due to one thing or another, which ranged from medication accidentally being thrown out by a third party to being lost while on holiday, I have had to order more than usual.

Because I have had to order more medication before the due date as it were this is now cause the surgery to go in a spin of Conspiracy and suspicion in relation to my reasons for ordering opioids as frequently as I have it is recently been implied to me that one of The Suspicions is that because they have quote high "(street value)" I possibly could be selling them on which is absolute b** and this is just the icing on the cake

I have had nothing but problems with getting my medication even when it has been ordered well within the time schedule.

Due to work commitments and me working in another City I can't get back to Pickering until at least 6:00 on numerous occasions arrived at the pharmacy in Pickering market around 6:15 at night to find that the medication is not even been sent over despite ordering it 2 days Prior this has happened dozens of occasions.

On over countless occasions, I have rang up the pharmacy at safe 4:00 p.m. to see if my medication has arrived and it's not even been sent over. Good jobI checked, isn't it.
Otherwise, I would have been absolutely snookered

But the one that has really got me and has really upset me is the implied notion that I am ordering to sell drugs .

not only is this a very, very serious accusation to make it, but it also has implications for the patient doctor harmony.

I would like to remind Pickering surgery that nobody given the choice would ever want to visit a doctor's we go there because we simply have no option it's not a field trip or something we do for fun is to get medication that is necessary to carry out our day-to-day tasks and enable people to function properly.

I am still in two minds of what to do the problem is for me now it has made me extremely uncomfortable as there are not many options as Pickering is a rural market town with only one pharmacy and one doctors

I've given 2stars as do appreciate there are people in that building who do work very hard and are doing a very difficult job but I am frankly sick of being anxious every time I have to ring up and the fact that I know now I'm under some suspicion as made the problem even worse I'm currently thinking about seeking legal advice

And with many many things in this town, I am really beginning to wonder what on earth is going on

One of the nurses here saved my life when she was adamant I should go to hospital and no one else believed me. Ended up having surgery cos I was bleeding internally, thank you to who this was I’m sorry I don’t remember your name

From years at a previous practice where appointments were only available at least four to five weeks in advance, if you were lucky to unfriendly staff. Pickering is an excellent run practice and the staff are superb. I tell all my previous neighbours how lucky we are when I hear of frustration and dismay from that practice.

Excellent service today, with staff so pleasant and helpful. I am on holiday in Pickering this week and developed an ear infection, for which I was needing help. I was told the Practice Nurse would phone me which she did and an appointment was arranged for the afternoon. On being seen, she immediately diagnosed the problem and issued a prescription. I cannot thank the Health Centre enough for its caring and professional manner.

From day one I have had the best care from this surgery. A couple of the Receptionists could do with lessons with dealing the public but The doctors and clinician's have been marvelous very thorough and kind. No complaints

The people I’ve spoken to, including doctors and nurses from other practices, can’t believe the attitudes and methods used here. Though there is the occasional genuinely helpful and polite interaction, the process of getting anything sorted is often long, drawn-out and unnecessarily difficult.

I’ve gone in for referrals from other doctors only to be refused the referral and diagnosed with something else, I’ve been misdiagnosed on multiple occasions, I’ve been told to take over the counter products with no further appointments to see if I improve only to get worse and find out from another doctor that I’ve been misdiagnosed, it’s ridiculous.

After finally seeking out other practices, I, and they, don’t understand how this practice is getting away with all this. Thought the staff are, generally, really friendly and seem to take concerns seriously, there are certainly some who have made unnecessary comments and assumptions and honestly don’t seem to care about their patients health and well-being. Though the practice overall is very organised and prompt and I’ve rarely had appointments cancelled, which is definitely a positive.

Overall wouldn’t recommend at all. Though the waiting times are shorter, it takes just as long to get the right diagnosis and treatment. The unhelpful comments and dismissive attitudes of some of the staff sadly outweigh the positives. It’s a lot less stress to go elsewhere and get things done properly.

Professional and supportive staff who have always provided appropriate and effective care whenever needed. I am a fairly regular visitor due to health conditions, and am very thankful to all who work so hard at PMP.

I have experienced a lack of care and ‘could n’t care less attitude.
Very difficult to get an answer to the telephone.
What were simple requests at my previous GP Practise, before I lived in Pickering, such a routine blood test, at this practise is carried out after first having a telephone assessment with practise nurse.
Complaints of continuing chest pain for 3 days plus a pharmacists referral, is a wait of a further 3 days.
Is there any wonder that people go to A&E when the GP should be the first port of call.
I am 78 yrs of age and live in at a retirement village where I hear constant complaints about this Medical Practise.
