We knew we were in for a very special stay the moment we traversed the long drive and arrived at reception. The lady (Elisa) at front desk greeted us warmly, informed us that our room was ready and checked the timings of our two night stay with dinner and spa treatments.||Our room, within the attic, was spacious with great views over the grounds and countryside. There were the usual tea and coffee making facilities and the ensuite bath (with shower over) was compact but sufficient (although there was a drains odour coming from the sink waste). The bed was very comfortable and we both had a great night’s sleep.|It would have been very useful if there had been an information card in the room, with wifi code, breakfast times, floor plan, general information about the hotel and spa, and history of the building, etc.|Another item which would have been appreciated would have been fresh milk for the room tea and coffee making station, reducing the reliance on single use plastic milk jiggers.||Our included evening meal was served in the main ‘Cloisters restaurant’. There was a very good menu to choose from, the food was very well presented and delicious. The service was efficient and friendly, however it would have been helpful if the staff could just reiterate the evening meal allowance and how it worked. The happy birthday dessert message was a lovely touch.|The view from the restaurant was beautiful, and we enjoyed soaking up some sunshine on the terrace one afternoon.||Breakfast, again served in the ‘Cloisters’, had the best selection of cooked menu items and buffet spread we have ever seen. Once again the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was tasty and enjoyable.||The Spa and Health facilities are located in a separate building to the main hotel, but are only a very short three minute walk across the car park. It could be better signposted from the hotel, and it would also have been nice if there was direct covered access, but presume the Listed Building status precludes this.||Again the receptionists at the spa were friendly and helpful, explaining our treatment times and lunch arrangement / options. They gave us our complimentary towels for the pool and pointed us in the right direction.||The changing room and showers were clean and well equipped, and the use of cash/token free lockers was great (don’t forget your code).||We enjoyed several swims in the pool and relaxing in the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. However, we were surprised that there were several guests on the sunbeds using mobile phones, and found this disconcerting and not appropriate from a privacy and relaxation perspective.||At lunchtime we went up to the special spa dining room, where my wife’s spa lunch (focaccia with roasted vegetables and haloumi followed by chocolate brownie) was delicious. However my gluten free afternoon tea was not as enjoyable as I was hoping; dry and lacking in flavour. I know that gluten free cookery can be challenging, but from experience know that it isn’t beyond the realm of a chef to create very enjoyable menu items. |It would also have been nice if there had been some background music within the spa dining room to add some ambience.||The lady (Tanya) who delivered my wife’s spa treatment was very warm and friendly, immediately making her feel relaxed and my full body massage was enjoyable. ||Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nutfield Priory Hotel and Spa, and reluctantly had to leave, but would highly recommend this establishment to our friends and family!

Unfortunately this was not the experience I had hoped for. Firstly, the staff were warm, friendly & accommodating which is why I'm giving any stars. However, they seemed overworked and short staffed. The hotel was littered with dirty plates and empty bottles outside the hotel rooms.

I was really hungry when I arrived so I ordered the egg & truffle sandwich. I felt so sorry for the young chap behind the bar as he was literally, run off his feet. Sadly, the sandwich lacked truffle or indeed pepper or salt. The fries were perfect and it was a good size - just lacking flavour.

I think having a member of staff working outside on a beautiful evening would have made sense. There were again tables that needed clearing.

I chose this hotel for its spa as I needed rest and recuperation. But the spa was absolutely dreadful. It was dirty (dirty tissues in the changing room), a razor and rubbish in the showers, and the swimming pool had litter, broken tiles and felt very old & tired. Outside tables had food & drinks left on them. The whole spa needs a complete overhaul. It's dated and again needs more staff.

My room was fine, but I had better hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn. Unfortunately, my room looked out on a weird part of the building so I had no view. Surely not having a busy hotel I could have had a better room? I could not open a window so I had no fresh air, just air conditioning which smelt odd and made clicking noises all night.

Overall this hotel is not a 4 star hotel. Save up and stay in a five star like the South Lodge. Double the price but 100 times more luxurious and comfortable.

Such a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. I stayed 2 nights for my best friend's hen weekend, and we had afternoon tea for 8 on the 2nd day. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home, the staff have the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth so you feel well looked after.||Shout out to Kellie who kept plying us with drinks on Friday afternoon - she's lovely and a very good saleswoman!||We finished off our stay after check out with time in the pool, spa pool and sauna/steam rooms and left for home refreshed and happy.||My only negative comments are that the pillows are too soft - we had 3 each and I would have been grateful for one of them being firm - and the duvet is too warm for me, but of course that's personal taste.||I hope to go back some time in the future.

As a first time visitor last Friday, I have to say that I was very impressed with the beauty and grandeur of the hotel. Most importantly was the warm welcome we received by the friendly receptionist on arrival. We had our dinner table booked for 8:15pm but had been delayed from picking up my friend at Heathrow Airport. When I rang through however, the kind lady at the desk assured me that my booking would still be honoured & wished me a safe journey. Arriving very late at the table we were still received very well by the professional & attentive assistant restaurant manger from Portugal! so a big thank you to him & Oscar who served us amazing coffee infused negronis which managed to impress my Sicilian friend who happens to be a highly trained mixologist!! The food was also tasty and well presented! Big thanks to the kitchen whom were happy to cook for us even though we were late. Breakfast was also good the next morning & it was also nice to see happy Franky and very attentive Caroline who served us and satisfied our endless coffee needs!! Last but not least I would also like mention that we enjoyed the spa facilities which were exceptional!! So definitely would like to come back 👌🏾💫

We stayed her for one night after booking one of the spa breaks. The spa itself was nice if in need of a little refresh. It did get a little busy on a Sunday afternoon but wasn’t too bad. We each enjoyed a massage and lunch as part of the package and enjoyed the relaxation room after. ||Our room was spacious and had a nice view out across the countryside. We had dinner in The Cloisters, the food was delicious and the staff great. Breakfast the next morning was equally good. ||We also booked a private room for lunch for more family to celebrate a 40th birthday. Amanda helped plan the event and Holly, our waitress was lovely and helpful. ||Thank you to Amanda, Peter, Holly and Caroline to name but a few of the excellent staff for making a special occasion, great.

I booked a cocktail afternoon tea followed by treatments for myself and my mum for her birthday. From the moment we arrived we were looked after beautifully. Francesca who served us along with Norbert were very helpful and attentive. The treatments were top class and so relaxing. We relaxed in the library bar afterwards and spent a lovely afternoon chatting to Ivo behind the bar who was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food and service received made our day extra special and we will definitely be back!

Disappointed to say the least. The decor/furniture in the room is tired and drab. We stayed in a room that had obviously had a leak above the window and there was an extensive water stain on the pelmet. While this is not a problem, it just doesn’t look great aesthetically. The breakfast was very good and the staff on this shift were really lovely. If you’re a party of more than two people however, you are seated at the rear of the restaurant. Only if you are a couple do you get to enjoy the views. The staff in the Spa are very helpful although you do have to walk around the back of the hotel and across a car park to reach it. I would say that customer service in some areas needs improvement.

We stayed for the weekend and the level of service we received were very good. Attention to detail was key as a children’s robe was provided in one of our rooms that had a young child staying in.

Anke and Jamie on the Reception desk were very attentive and managed to help us in every way they could.

At dinner and breakfast services, Abdul and Alek were also attentive and able to help us which any requests we needed.

The spa and leisure facilities were good and the staff there all very friendly. A robe, a towel and a pair of flip flops were provided up on request which was handy as you did not need to bring across your robe from the hotel room.
