It's taken me a while to write this as I'm still quite raw over the loss of my beautiful companion.
My 13 year old dog took poorly very quickly in May. I rang the surgery on Monday morning and got an appointment for the same day. The receptionist was so accommodating and made sure she got me in!
Adam looked at my dog, he was so lovely and patient with her (she was a bit of a nervous doggie) talked me through a couple of things, and give her a couple of jabs and said to see if she picked up overnight. She didn't so again, they gave me an appointment the same day I rang and I seen Adam again.
He ran some bloods and they check them there and then in the vets! No having to wait for days for results!
I waited in the car with my girl and he came out to get me.
The news was devastating. She had basically reached the end of her life. Adam was fantastic in talking me through this devastating news.
I took her home and had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go.
I asked for a home visit as she was so nervous going to the vet and I didn't want that to be her last memory, and they gave me an appointment for the following day.
Amy came out and she was absolutely fantastic. She took her time with Fen, talking to her and reassuring her. She talked us through what was going to happen and waited until we were ready. Fen just went to sleep on her bed. She didn't feel a thing and wasn't aware of anything other than our love. Amy was so fantastic with her and us. She sat for a while afterwards too which was lovely.
I can't recommend this practice enough.
From the minute you walk in, the receptionists are great, all of the staff are!
Everyone is friendly, sympathetic but still professional. They make both human and their companions feel comfortable and understood!

What can we say about these vets that quickly puts across how amazing they are. We have been with them now for 8 months, and I can honestly say I have never been to better vets. We have quite a few rats, and each time I am blown away with how knowledgeable the vets are and even how friendly the receptionists are. They make sure you have an appointment that is best for you and your animal, help you through difficult decisions and make what can be a tough day just that little bit easier. They helped us make sure our cat got the best care at the end of his life even though funds were tight at the time and every time we've taken in rats even the receptionists want to say hi to them.
We've had nothing but good experiences with them, from battling our old vets to get our cats medical records to emergency calls for a ill rat late at night.

Highly recommend these vets to anyone!

Had a problem with our spaniels paw ( whilst on Holiday), and bumped into a lady that highly recommended Morris & Plumley .

We called and were offered an appointment within the hour , and reception staff were extremely reassuring, professional in manner and helpful .
Were seen by Vet Rachel Mclachlan, who dealt with our spaniel in a thorough, but very caring manner . And we felt reassured as we had to leave our Spaniel “Blue” for a few hours so he could be sedated to enable the examination to be undertaken.

We were contacted by the Vet personally after the examination to enable us to return and pick him up.

I cannot recommend this practice highly enough , as there was no “up-selling” as is found nowadays by with some Chain Veterinary Practices.
It was clear to us that our pet was there number one priority, and not money .

Absolutely brilliant service from this practice whilst we were on holiday!
Our precious dog needed her usual medication as we’d ran out, we called our vet at home who took a picture of a prescription sent it to me, I was going to get the prescription filled online but it was going to take 5-7 days. Frantically I called this practice who were compassionate, understanding and ultra efficient, as I was 17 miles away everything was done via the telephone and the next day I had the treatment my pet needed.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice and their professionalism. Thank you and well done. You’re definitely our vet of choice for future needs whilst we are in Northumberland.

Had an emergency with my Sighthound whilst on holiday in Alnmouth. Amy and others at the out of hours service were amazing. Such lovely ladies - genuine empathy and real compassionate care. The knowledge and understanding was second to none and I was just blown away how closely she paid attention to everything I said about my anxious dog and her medical history and how she tailored my dogs care to suit her individual needs. Her nasty injury was quickly and efficiently cleaned and stitched up and I got my girl back with me within a short space of time. I wish I had a vet practise so good near me

We have been with this practice since they opened and they are exceptional. The reception team are beyond caring and helpful and go above and beyond. Amazing, lovely and caring practice. I’m reviewing again as the service never fails to disappoint. The prices are fair and drastically lower than many other local practices, I’ve known them perform an operation for one of my clients (I’m a dog walker and pet sitter) for a tenth of the price another practice quoted. I’ve only ever once had to query a price and that was due to a clerical error and sorted out immediately. Keep up the good work guys, you are so appreciated! Elliot and Bertie enjoyed their first visit to meet Dom today, had a quick cuddle with Gemma on the desk ? and signed up to vaccine for life which is an incredibly good deal ?

We registered six rats and a cat- i’m so sorry I’ve forgotten your name. I believe it was your first week with Morris and Plumley. Your service was professional funny and welcoming.

I believe it was Gemma and team who when our cats previous vets were being difficult sending the records over fought on our behalf for over and hour getting the results that we needed!

Rachel, when our cat needed to lay to rest supported us with nothing but respect and understanding. The reception team that day who reassure us that even though funds were tight, they would work with us and make sure Reggie was comfy.

Dom and Stu, who we have seen multiple times now who haven’t been afraid to handle our exotic animals. Shared their knowledge in a way that we could understand and we were reassured by what they said every single time

Adam, Who laid our rat to rest tonight did it with such professionalism and understanding and although it took him all of 15 minutes to assess and complete the task. He made that effort and made us feel welcome.

Steph, Hannah,Kim and Kerry. And the rest of the reception team and nursing team, although I cannot remember your names. They know our faces and they know what’s in our cages. They aren’t afraid to converse and make a fuss of our rats.

Highly recommended, all their patients get the same love and attention they need and their owners also get the same friendliness. Can’t believe we found such a fantastic vet.
