my partner taken our daughter as her and the little one are registered there. I've just spoken to mum now to see what the doctor said about the condition my little girl went for. and mum said all was fine but she asked the doctor if she could look at something else which was in the same area and would of maybe taken 5 minutes to diagnose. anyway the doctor said no you'll have to make another appointment. what is it with half these doctors now days they put profits before people.

Most rudest receptionists ever. All the good nurses have left. If you ask to make a complaint, NONE of them will give you their name. Why? I'm making a formal complaint to NHS England due to the poor response recieved from the manager from a previous complaint regarding the customer service from the receptionist.

Called Monday morning at 8am. I was 16th in the queue but only had to wait about 5 minutes to speak to a receptionist. Receptionist was friendly & polite and I was given an appointment at 8.30. Very happy with surgery and how quickly my call was answered & that I got an appointment to see a doctor as I was expecting a phone call appointment instead!

Thank you so much to the receptionist I liaised with this afternoon alongside Nurse Maney who both went above and beyond to ensure my son was seen (despite me accidentally missing my appointment time). I really appreciate it ❤️

UPDATE -
Rang up to book an appointment for bloods requested by hospital. They don't do bloods anymore and asked me to go back to the hospital to get them done. This surgery gets worse and worse. My review from a few years ago of this surgery below has completely changed. The receptionists are the rudest, and do not actually give a monkeys whether your dying, have taken a day off work to make an appointment.. if the shoe was on the other foot and you rang your own GP whilst at work it would be a different story. Show some empathy.

..REVIEW from COVID time...Been with this surgery for about 1.5 years..very thorough with appointments.. polite receptionists and helpful admin staff.. the GPs go above and beyond and the nurse is very professional and caring.
Although it Is difficult to get a face to face appointment due to covid, the practice always ensures that you do recieve the care you need on the same day, which is the best way.

Absolutely diabolical.
Took the day off work because they don’t offer any appointments at a time where is going to work for me, I called at 8 AM and by the time someone actually answered my call there were no appointments left. Now I lost a day of my holiday for absolutely no reason.
All because “GP’s are also entitled to holidays”. No one said they are not, just plan for the love of God so you are not in a position where you are short staffed because of annual leave!!!!! It isn’t that difficult and basic management skills should help out.

UPDATE

Another two amazing encounter with the lovely receptionist from Moorside Surgery.
I went in as all my repeat prescriptions have been discontinued without a reason. I asked to sign up to the online service and also enquired about my prescriptions. I was shaking my head as I got to a point where I am so frustrated with these people that is causing me anxiety. The receptionist got very cross and asked me on a very defensive tone why I am shaking my head at her. I explained I was not shaking my head at her, but at the situation, I also asked why is she so irritated. She could not answer. All her colleagues at the back were staring at me and looked very amused. This must be a great pass time for them I assume, causing patients upset.

This morning I rang the surgery as I have a 39.9 temperature and a very sore throat and I really wanted to see a GP. The woman on the phone, the same on from the above situation, argued with me relentlessly that I did not need to see a GP, that I can be seen by a pharmacist. That I should follow the correct “nhs pathway”. I do not feel comfortable seeing a pharmacist as while they might have some training they are NOT medical professionals.
This, this is getting out of control and receptionists are given way too much power without a lot of responsibility.
Safe to say I am leaving this surgery after only being with them for a few months.
The patronising attitude and carelessness for their patients is diabolical.

My daughter was left upset after being spoken to like a child today, the receptionist was condescending and dismissive, my daughter wanted to see someone about her very swollen eyes- which have been bad for a few days, the receptionist diagnosed hay fever as 'the pollen is very high today!' (She's never had hay fever.)
My daughter was advised to see an optician for a MECS appointment, which she got the bus into town to do, only to be told she needed to see a GP.
They have no complaints manager or anyone to speak to and suggested I email and they'll get back to me in 28 days.

Terrible surgery. Used to be v good but since covid they have used it as an excuse not to provide what they did pre covid. Messing with cqc stats to make it look good when actually you can't get to see a doctor. Reception staff are rude. Hope I'm never properly poorly, I'll be dead before I get past reception. At least this will be evidence when my family sue.
