I have had a lot of positive experiences in the years I’ve been at Marysville, phones are answered quickly, I’m always seen bang on appointment time or at most within 5 minutes. Reception staff are extremely helpful, friendly and polite. Doctors and nurses are (mostly) very knowledgable and helpful. I always recommend this doctors surgery

I have been with this practice 5 years now and not once do I feel that I have been treated or listened to like a human being. I've been spoken down to, I've been told "you don't know what your taking about!" And yet it's my body and mind that there remarking on. And they wonder why people are going elsewhere, or self diagnosing, it's because we the people have no trust in our doctors/government anymore, they just don't have our best interests at heart

Thanks to Hayley Hopkins the Nurse Practioner at the practice, who was very thorough, understanding and even sent me a link with advice and help I needed. The staff there are always approachable, calm and helpful.
Thank you all so much.

These people have completely failed to help my wife who has been suffering for 2 years. I'm moving her to another doctors in the hope we'll get better service. It takes forever to get through on the phone and when you do the receptionists hang up on you. There's no sympathy, empathy or care available at this place. Avoid it.

Personally I have always received a good quality of care and service here. Whenever I have needed to visit I have been seen promptly and been treated very well. In my experience all of the staff have been approachable, helpful and friendly. However, I have very rarely needed to see an actual GP so cannot comment on this process. My experience relates to general run of the mill asthma reviews and flu jabs.

Always professional, efficient and knowledgeable. I have always been able to see a doctor or other medical professional face to face when I've needed to. Also I have had phone calls answered within a reasonable amount of time by friendly receptionists.

I had been with this practice for 28 years and until recently, had always rated it as one of the best in Shrewsbury. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have caused me to change to an alternative practice - this is only since Dr Visick has left the practice - she was an exceptional GP.
Whilst my husband was receiving end of life care, there was one occasion when the District Nurse called Marysville requesting an urgent pain relief prescription which she needed to administer there was no GP at the practice to write the prescription - they had one GP on duty and he was out on a home visit.
On a second occasion a prescription for pain relief, ordered by the District Nurse in the morning hadn't been sent to the Pharmacy by the afternoon. When I chased this up with Marysville, a prescription for the wrong medication was sent to the pharmacy. This would have caused my husband severe problems with pain if myself and the Pharmacist hadn't noticed the error.
When I rang to inform Marysville of the mistake and request the correct prescription, the receptionist told me 'the Doctor was having a bad day'. That is not a valid excuse - my husband was dying, did she not think I might be having a bad day too - we had noticed their mistake and had to deal with it urgently to avoid my husband being in pain for hours.
The day I informed Marysville that my husband had died, the manner of the GP I spoke to was brusque, matter of fact and totally lacking in empathy and I felt that he didn't even know the procedures that had to be followed to allow my husband's body to be released to the cremation company.
I know the pandemic has caused enormous problems for GP practices and increased workloads but errors like that shouldn't have happened and I felt hugely let down at a very difficult time by a Practice that, until recently, I had always regarded very highly

I have attended this surgery for over twenty years. During that time the the expectations and workload on the staff staff increased enormously, yet I have always received a timely and professional response to any complaint.(With one exception when I saw a rude locum). I don't always see the same GP, but feel I get a fantastic service from whomever I see and I would like to thank all reception, health care assistants, nurses and GP's for providing me with excellent care.
