Waited a month for an appointment with a specific practitioner for a specific procedure. Arrived for my appointment which was with a GP who told me the practitioner I had my appointment with is off sick with no planned return date. She is the only practitioner at the practice apparently who can do the procedure I need. What a waste of an appointment and a waste of my time. It would have made more sense to have phoned me to check what I was going for and to then advise me this particular practitioner wasn’t available.
I find it unacceptable that there is only one practitioner in the whole who is able to give the procedure I need and probably others need too.

The system they have in place is simply pointless. You walk in, they say they're busy and there is nobody in the waiting room. Don't get it. May as well close the surgery completely in my opinion as we just go to the walk in centre at Beverley and get seen straight away anyway.

Friendly enough staff but dreadful system for getting to see an actual doctor. Basically it simply doesn’t work. TBH I’m not sure they employ any doctors there anymore as it’s nearly impossible to see one unless your leg is hanging off. They just say to ring 111 if it’s urgent. Why can’t they just make their own appointments?!?!

Don’t try to get an appointment or to speak to somebody, as all they’ll tell you is to ring 111, do your job at the surgery and don’t fob people off and pass them on to somebody else.

Rang last week for an appointment for my 16 month old, couldn't get an appointment until June. Rang again as he had a temperature of 39 and got told to go to Beverley walk in instead. Was there for 4 hours and had to wait in a warm car with a poorly toddler. He had an infection in both ears and tonsillitis. Got prescribed antibiotics and went to the Cohens pharmacy next door to collect. They took 20 minutes to get the prescription because the pharmasist didn't know how to get it off the computer, this was 9pm at night with an exhausted and poorly little boy. They didn't have the sweetened antibiotics so I took the normal one, my little boy is now spitting it out so I'm back calling Market Weighton doctors to see if I can get the sweet version. Caller number 7 and been waiting 20 minutes already. I've never known a doctors so bad, I was warned before moving to Market Weighton not to bother changing doctors as they are so poor, wish I had listened.

All hard working staff trying the best they can under hard circumstances. Many different options to get medical help including engage consult and online messaging service. Also face to face appointments available if wanted or by phone or web cam if easier. Home visits for house bound patients and access to out of hours appointments which may be by phone or in person at other medical ctrs. As well as a push doctor service for video appointments after 6pm

Genuinely terrible surgery. Reception are so rude and the doctors don’t do their job. Recently moved to a different surgery from here as I was unable to get any help, and already since moving I have found out blood test results came back bad even though I was told at market weighton they were good. You can’t trust these doctors at all. I was lied to and left unwell. This Illness wouldn’t be affecting me as much as It Is now If market weighton doctors had done their job In the first place. I don’t know how this surgery Is open and It’s terrible these people are actually In charge of caring for people. I can’t believe they lied to me. I wouldn’t be Ill now If they hadn’t.

The place is clean and tidy everything was running on time (which is a bonus!), Plenty of parking in a good sized car park and has a pharmacy on site (Cohen's), there are two floors so there is plenty of seating, the receptionist was polite and helpful.
