Lydden Surgery - Dover

On 21 January went on line to see if I could book an appointment as I have been suffering with an increasingly painful back. I received a message saying booking an appointment on line was no longer available. I was referred to the triage and submitted the requested information I received a fairly quick response stating a clinician will call me on 12 February. As the pain on my lower back is becoming debilitating I attempted to call the surgery to see if this my condition could be treated a bit quicker. After being No. 1 in the queue for 19 minutes. I gave up. One has to wonder if the triage system is working. Hopefully someone at the surgery will take note. Previously my experience of Lydden surgery has been excellent.

Since writing the above review I was contacted by the surgery and an appointment was arranged too see a doctor. I greatly appreciated this. So I have changed my star rating.

Our family have been with the surgery for 3 years since my first baby was born and have since had a second. I have never struggled for an appointment for my children, my son in particular has had a lot of health problems with asthma/viral wheeze and they have always been seen the same day as requested. The GPs, nurses and reception staff are all really friendly and helpful. We feel lucky to be registered with Lydden.

One gp in the whole surgery is fantastic. Dr Kingston (think that's how you spell it ) is one in a million, the rest are awful. No answer on phones. The dispensary as rude and don't listen. The reception have maybe one nice lady the rest are moody and don't help with anything!!! Trying to sort out baby allergy milk is like drawing blood from a stone!!!
Stay clear if you actually need stuff doing fast !!!!

The receptionist, Nurse and Doctor could not have been kinder or more efficient.

Tried to call just see if I needed to present to a doctor or could self medicate for a symptom. Spent 15 minutes being told I was number 1 in the queue and then the phone switched to just ringing constantly and nobody picked up so in the end rang off. Is it any wonder people just turn up at A and E

Have to wait ages to get appointment, I think they still think we have covid restrictions. Prescriptions sometimed not always completed usually because doctor has request sitting on his desk. You are asked to give 3 working days but still do not always get it in time before you run out.

Not let me down yet however, if they do, it isn't the fault of the dedicated staff.
It is the fault of a failing system induced by a government that sets the parameters just so.
