Possibly the worst pharmacy I have been to. I always give healthcare workers the benefit of the doubt as the vast majority work hard to keep patients safe and well. However this pharmacy gets a 1 star rating, and I will give valid reasons why; I waited 45 minutes for a standard frequent prescription, prompting for a response after waiting 30 minutes I was met with a reply of that the pharmacist is aware. I was polite and courteous during the time I was there. I was asked for proof of my repeat prescription and other irrelevant documents that could be found on the NHS Spine (pharmacists computer and database) through a 111 referral. I have had many of these type of prescriptions and at even the busiest of times (of which today was not) it would take maximum 15 minutes. The pharmacist responsible although calm did not follow through the standard procedure I have encountered 100s of times in the past. There were many people in the pharmacy annoyed that their prescriptions were not on time and asked to follow a complicated procedure online that many people understandably were annoyed about. Despite 7 people running the pharmacy with 2 responsible pharmacists it bewilders me to how such incompetence is found. I have been to many small pharmacies with heavier traffic, with just 2 people running the pharmacy most of time with very little time compared to the 45 minutes I have waited. Additionally some of the staff seemed to take as much time as they can to chat before doing any work, even a time I encountered a worker walking around with a box on her head, which is truly unbelievable for an important institution like a pharmacy. I post reviews to many places and I have never rated a pharmacy under 3 stars. I have tried to be as unbiased and logical in this review, if the pharmacy changes its work dynamic or responds to this critical feedback I will update this review and rating. But if you still see this review in 2-3 months time from the time of posting then unfortunately I will strongly advise anyone in the surrounding area that relies on this pharmacy to change to the closest pharmacies in Woodstock and Witney which have positive reviews, having been to one in Witney. Thank you for reading and I hope this can shed some light on a pharmacy that can hopefully be improved on.

It is extremely understaffed and has a very rude receptionist.
Overall i would rather go the extra 10 minutes to the lovely Woodstock pharmacy that let me in 1 hour after closing time

Dangerously incompetent. Went to pick up medication, took an absolute age to get served, checked with the dispensing clerk to ensure the meds supplied were as specifically requested and was assured that they were correct and in accordance with my needs. When I got home and read the small print I was astonished to discover that the meds were not as the clerk had described. I’ll now need to return for the umpteenth time to inform them again of their error and no doubt have to wait yet another week for the correct medication to be ordered in. This is not the first time this has happened and they previously added a note to my records to make sure this doesn’t keep happening, but that clearly didn’t work either. Anyone responsible for dispensing medication who can’t understand that what they say they’re giving to a patient isn’t what they’re actually dispensing shouldn’t be employed to do this job; under some circumstances such practice could have very serious consequences for the patient. This is not acceptable and they should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

Lived in Long Hanborough all my life and whether it was at the old pharmacy or the current new one the staff as always go above and beyond friendly, polite, helpful and knowledgeable.
So don't abuse it, use it because in this day and age we are extremely lucky to have a local pharmacy / doctor's surgery.
