I was initially referred to Karen in 2015, and have benefitted tremendously from her professional skill, warmth and expertise ever since, given that she has kept me mobile , no mean feat! I have a number of issues including arthritis, bursitis, neuromas, post surgery issues and pain management problems.
Karen's knowledge & skill in accurately identifying clinical issues, and finding solutions has been superb.I really appreciate that she never assumes, but instead always presents and discusses options enabling one to make informed choices about treatment.
Follow up sessions are relevant to my condition/state/issues at the time, with in-depth consultations ensuring that my condition remains stable and I am able to mobilise to the best of my capability.
My orthotics are invaluable and regularly reviewed ,& refurbished or replaced as & when necessary. Karen also gives very helpful tips and information about footwear, activities and so on , saving one from spending vast amounts on inappropriate or unusable shoes, and helping to make activities pleasurable again.
I cannot recommend Karen's services enough.
The icing on the cake at Foot Mechanix is the reliable , warm and welcoming Catherine in reception who always goes the extra mile .

Karen was recommended to me several years ago by my chiropractor when I was suffering from a really painful hip.
Karen was very thorough, assessed my gait by studying this on the video treadmill and made the diagnosis that my hip problem was due to my gait!
She recommended both the appropriate orthotics, which she customised to suit my individual needs, and also more supportive footwear.
I have used the orthotics without fail since then, as well as the recommended footwear and am delighted to say that as a result I have had no further problems with the painful hip. Such a wonderful relief!
I attend the clinic every year for a check up and feel confident that if any issues arose between appointments Karen would be able to help.

I have been a patient at Footmechanix Podiatry for over six years now, and I cannot recommend their services highly enough. For years now I have been dealing with multiple conditions, including intoeing, knee joint injury, and an ongoing lower spine issue, which have been challenging. However, Karen's expertise and dedication has significantly improved my physical movement and overall quality of life.

You are initially greeted by Catherine who is friendly, professional and can't do enough to help, and Karen is exceptionally experienced and always takes the time to understand my ongoing needs. Her support and compassion have been instrumental in helping me manage my conditions effectively.

Recently, I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, meaning regular exercise was crucial for my health. Because of the custom prescription orthotics, I am now more active and able to maintain a regular exercise routine whilst building up to long distance walking.

It's also fascinating to learn about the biomechanics of your own body through video gait analysis and with Karen's diagnosis and explanations, she makes it easy to understand.

In my experience, Footmechanix offer a first class service and treatment, I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact Karen has had on my life. I would not be where I am today without her input and guidance.

I went to Karen after a year or more of foot pain caused by 2 Morton's Neuromas in my right foot. I previously had an injection into each of the neuromas, which didn't work. Surgery was next on my list, but I decided to seek help, and am so relieved that I did. Everything was explained to me, and I was given an interim fix, enabling me to comfortably walk.

The orthotics that Karen then custom-made for me (after detailed gait analysis), has resulted not only in pain-free walking (what a relief), but also pain-free running (I'd given up the idea of ever running again).

The positive effect of Karen's intervention, is not only physical. My mental state is infinitely better than it was, and I happily look forward to many more years of activity.
