They try lie to patients not realising people talk and no eachother. This surgery told another patient who is desperate to get the right care for his mental health there is no mental health lead. I was told there is that being Dr Holden. I asked why this wasn't public knowledge and was told they can't treat everyone etc. Absolutely appalling that people are being lied to and not accessed care. Not that she's great anyway. They will make you come away feeling more suicidal after speaking to them and them telling you "we can't do nothing for you". Avoid at all costs

Queued in the surgery for half an hour today at the desk (I was first in line) before a receptionist even appeared who then couldn’t help me. The lady behind me said this was her second time today queueing. Shocking that the receptionist desk isn’t being manned sufficiently. I have just joined the surgery and am having a nightmare of a time getting records transferred over from my old surgery (who were AMAZING so I know it’s no fault of theirs). The admin has been disgusting at this surgery which is sad because my brief encounter with the doctor so far has been pleasant and seemed good - got a referral done promptly.

Without fail, the worst experience I have ever had, and continue to have. Nor can I do anything about it, by virtue of where I live.

When you actually see a Dr. they are polite, friendly, helpful, understanding and try to help you within their scope & remit.

Alas, everything is about the Eynsham Medical Practice is so utterly diabolical, that seeing a Dr in and of itself is a virtual impossibility.

I've repeatedly had medication request rejected, and told to do X, Y, and Z.

Without, it seems, any understanding whether I can do X, Y, and Z, or if it is even possible in the first place.

Such as:

Call this number. No one answers.

Book an appointment, use Long Hanborough or Eynsham to suit you. Is this possible? No. Earliest time? Three weeks time. What do I do until then?

Use this system to send a message: There is a very short character limit.

Something not working? You have no choice but to call. Then you are subjected to a voice message droning in about how to use their "new" online system to either send them a message (as above, completely bloody awful) or do something else. Guess what? Either doesn't work, or not possible. Or "please hold to speak to someone" it repeats the options at you.

Eventually, when you do get to speak to someone such as a receptionist, some can, and are really lovely. Others make you feel as if you are solely to blame for the issues that they are experiencing.

I tried to explain my situation. "I can't do anything, my computer isn't letting me do/see/use this." Oh, OK. I'll just go away then?

"You've used the system, and it's given you the earliest time"

Oh, OK. I'll just wait three weeks, have my medication repeatedly rejected, get a one way message from my Dr saying I have enough (go away, basically!) And hopefully wait until the appointment in three weeks...?

With no medication, creams, or anything else that I need because of the Dr. who has deemed in their infinite wisdom, and lack of time to consider my situation, that I have enough.

Utterly failing to understand how long it actually takes to receive my medication because I can't get it from the GP surgery, can't get it from the Pharmacy!

In the last two weeks alone, I've spoken to every different Dr imaginable, who seems to have understood my issues over the phone, and approved my medication needs, only to then reject it when I put it through at a later date.

I'm told to speak to the clinical pharmacist. I do. I explain the situation. They are very sympathetic, but I feel my needs and requests aren't listened to. They say what they need to say, and I feel, promptly hang up.

Is my situation any better? Fork No.

I see a different Dr. recently, and at long last. I get told my issue is something different to what the previous Dr. thought and prescribed. I am given different medication, and a different emollient. I ask if it can be added to my online ordering. I'm told it is already done.

I get home, and check. Is it? No, of course not.

My options? Send a message, or wait to speak to a receptionist to pass on a message. How long that will take, and whether they do? Toss a coin! Who knows!

I opt to send in a message. Due to the character limit, I have to spray words everywhere, and still think how I can get my point across using the minimum word count.

I am not hopeful. Someone may read it, they may address my queries, and approve what I've requested, only to reject it later on.

Can I change the quantity of medication, speak to anyone about getting new/more/different medication?

This likely seems to be a case of "speak to my Dr."

IN three weeks time at the earliest.

What do I do about my current issues, and needs?

Nothing it seems.

Communication should be both ways. I feel spoken AT, IGNORED, and if I attempt to communicate by response, my concerns or communication isn't listened to.

I might as well scream into the void, or put my head in a bell, and ring.

Not fit for service.

Disgraceful example of a medical practice.

We registered with this admin burden about 18 months ago they haven't bothered to ask for our medical records for the family from the forces medical group despite being told from the very day we registered exactly how to do it.

Any task requiring even the tiniest amount of paperwork is insurmountable by the staff and I name and shame Jackie Hudson specifically. For falling in her duty of care.

Forget trying to make a phone call to this place it's a constant barrier to admission as proven by the fact that they leave the phones off the hook when I couldn't get through to reception on numerous times with a sick child.

I had to come in and put my boy on the desk Infront of them before he was seen.

The only way you be served is to walk in and not leave until your needs be met.

This is my experiences over 18 months.

If you consider registering here know that your needs will be secondary to the needs of the staff and there holidays are more important than the service rendered.

Shocking service. Disgraceful administrative work ethic.

AVOID IF YOU ARE ABLE.

Waiting for nearly an over hour for a simple appointment. Staff here clearly don’t care about mental health. This is the 6th appointment that I have expressed I am struggling and no help is offered.

I think the online consultation works really well. I am able to gather together all the points I want to communicate in a much more orderly way than face to face with the doctor. Then an in person consultation can follow if necessary but often a phone call is enough. However my son wasn't able to get back on the list when he came home from university. I took one star off for that.

Now absolutely not fit for purpose. Despite a massive expansion with some considerable cost to the village. Patients are left with an e-consult interface that is painful, telephone appointments that are not met, agonising waits by phone, and reception staff that are clearly ineffective. Its much much worse than barely acceptable

Always get back to me, treat me very well. Easy to get an appointment. Not always quickly but I know they do their best.
