I had a total hip replacement in August 2024. Everyone was wonderful. All the staff were kind, considerate, and very patient . I can not praise or thank them enough . It was such a professional yet personal service from admission to discharge. I felt completely relaxed and confident in their care. I am now recovering well at home .

From the first meeting with Jonathan Luscombe I was impressed with his relaxed manner.
I had a total hip replacement in Nov 23. The team at Droitwich Hospital from pre -op to Discharge was great. I was listened to and reassured on the concerns I had before the op.
The procedures were explained at every step of the way to theatre and recovery which was very reassuring. The care in the ward was second to none always a member of staff around to help when needed.

Following on from my operation I can not thank Lucy from Pysio enough for the encouragement and exercise plan that was put in place. I was listened too and my concerns take on board and dealt with. I was not sent away with exercises I didn’t know how to do, Lucy sent me them on an App so I could do the workout at home.

Over many weeks we worked together and now I have no limp, I walk properly and climb stairs.

A big thank you Lucy and the team at Droitwich Hospital.

Total Knee replacement completed 20 March by Jonathan Luscombe . The team at Droitwich were excellent and provided great communication during the whole process. The care provided was second to none from catering, nursing and physio with special thanks to Rojina, Sonia, Rasmina, Sally, Elaine, Jane , Jonny and Libby. Very traumatic time made easy by these people thank you?

Older than the internet

8th August I had a total knee replacement. I am male, 61, 6'2" and hovering around 19 stones. I'm a chunky monkey.

Thanks to my consultant Mr Agrawal and the brilliant 6 week follow up physiotherapy under the care of Reena I was able to ditch one crutch after 1 week and was walking free at 2. I am driving 6 weeks after.

The post op exercises are so important and Reena was highly professional and gave sound advice, strict instructions and comforting words to spur me on.

You will have a range of exercises and Reena understands very well what you need and will tweak your regime accordingly. Listen to your body, your physio, your family and friends. Push yourself to fatigue but not pain and give yourself time.

And those strict instructions from Reena?..ICE! Reduced swelling=reduced pain (more effective than pain killers in my case) and encourages more movement and builds strength but also makes you rest.

A great team that has given me, even at this stage, massive results.
