Fabulous hotel, full of character in the original building, the wings, though, are more modern but really well appointed. The spa is lovely. Food is good but on the expensive side, but to be expected. Service on the whole is good. The housekeeping team seem to let the place down. Spotted most of them on their phones rather than working. Our room was cleaned one morning , but the bed left unmade. The restaurant serves nice food, although the menu is small. We stayed 3 nights and ate out the third night due to the limited choice.

Really nice hotel, very posh! Was extremely busy there and the check in queue was very long. If you book on booking.com you cannot check in until 4, which is quite late considering the cost of the stay, you also have to book to use the spa, by the time we went to book after checking in they only had 7pm available which was a bit late, but at that time it was empty in there which was nice. The rooms are lovely! Very clean and comfy! The hotel itself is very decorative in the restaurant and the foyer, its pretty. The breakfast was lovely and despite the reviews saying you have to book, you do not, it was empty when we got there at about half 8.
Overall the hotel is nice, but extremely expensive and some parts of it need updating.

Stayed here for a night to celebrate partners birthday! They gave us a little note and some chocolate to welcome him which I found was a heartwarming gesture as most places won’t do this. The breakfast was good! Had vegetarian options (veggie sausages on ask) and the afternoon tea was perfect! (Also had vegetarian options) the spa was lovely but I have to say it’s a bit small… considering it’s a 4 star hotel I think the spa needs an upgrade. Overall, a beautiful lovely stay!

We had such a lovely night away. The staff were extremely friendly. The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. Didn't end up using the pool as it was booked up on arrival day and didn't get the chance the next day but not to worry.
We will definitely be returning and upgrading are room next time.

Situated in beautiful grounds with some unspoilt views. Room had all we needed including an exceptionally comfortable bed! Staff were friendly and helpful. Ate in Bistro and had Breakfast, both very nice. Swimming pool was a little chilly but the hotel itself and room were both a little too warm, so it was a good way to cool down 😊

Wow this place is exceptional… what a find! The building itself took our breath away, such a beautiful manor. The gardens are kept to an extremely high standard. Free onsite parking which is a rarity these days. Staff absolutely wonderful, all smiles, very professional and helpful. Alex the on duty manager last evening went above and beyond for my daughter and I. Incredible at his job. It’s clear to see the staff are very happy here, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.

Food and beverage: breakfast is worth it, lots of choice, beautiful large dinning room and very well run, easy help yourself buffet, stocked plentiful. Great choice on the evening menu/wine list/cocktails, without costing the earth, again the interiors are something to behold, such beautiful architecture and design. Very easy to sit in the bar all evening with a group or by yourself if travelling for business. Very good atmosphere.

Spa and pool: clean and tidy, was very well run with a friendly efficient and lovely team. Robes and slippers very reasonably priced.
Bedroom accommodation: fabulous more like a 5star hotel, we stayed in room 54 in main Manor House, junior suite, really high standard, comfortable bed, spacious, clean, warm and quiet with luxurious toiletries. Everything you could possibly want on a luxury night away from the hustle and bustle. I cannot wait to return with my husband for a romantic getaway! Highly recommended!

We stayed at the DeVere Tortworth Court Hotel for one night over New Year’s Eve with a group of friends so that we could celebrate the year’s end at the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner. |Check in was fine although there was rather long queue. We were allocated room 173 on the ground floor in the Courtyard block, to the side of the hotel (which had its own car park). |The room was spacious and comfortable but a bit tired. There was plenty of sitting space and room for your baggage. There was a large wardrobe which had a room safe, iron and ironing board. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, heated towel rail with nice thick bath towels. Toiletries were on offer via dispensing bottles. The room itself was vey quiet but the plumbing in the bathrooms was very loud and you could easily be woken up by neighbours using their bathroom.|The is a huge hotel which I think hosts various different events at the same time. There was a wedding party there while we had our New Year’s Eve event. The building is very interesting and grand with lots of lovely public rooms. The Atrium Bar was attractive and the breakfast room was beautiful. |Our function for New Year’s Eve was okay. The start wasn’t brilliant. There was supposed to be a glass of fizz and canapés on offer from 7 pm. We got there at 7.15 pm and were told the glasses of fizz were gone already. We tackled a couple of the staff who managed to rustle up another 8 glasses for our party. The canapes, sadly, were just a paper cone containing two chips, a fish goujon and a bit of tartare sauce. The dinner in the Westminster Suite was large (a few hundred guests) but was well managed by the restaurant manager. We had 4 courses which were all good with generous portions. Then we had coffee and petit fours. After the meal there was a group playing live music who I didn’t think was playing the right sort of music for this function. They played for 2 hours taking us to midnight but we didn’t have much of a countdown to midnight and to the start of the new year. We just did our own thing. However, a complimentary glass of fizz was brought out for a New Year toast. Then followed a hour of music with a DJ who was good. The event finished at 1 pm but we then retired to the Atrium Bar which was open until around 2pm. |Breakfast the next morning was very good. Plenty of choice of hot and cold buffet. The hot food looked and tasted freshly cooked. Check out was supposed to have been 11 am but we didn’t leave until around 11.30 but the staff didn’t seem perturbed. |All in all, we had a brilliant time but there were a couple of niggles.
