I found myself suffering from acute Asthma symptoms whilst visiting friends in London to which google suggested I try visiting ChrisChem. They were incredibly helpful and kind, ensuring I was comfortable whilst submitting my online emergency prescription request. The Lead Pharmacist took great care in ensuring my Asthma was sufficiently treated before feeling comfortable letting me leave. I was deeply grateful for the help of all staff working that day and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pharmacy to anyone in the area.

Service is not great at all. I have used this pharmacy twice now and both times there were issues. I could understand if the poor service was a one off thing but it’s not, clearly.

Customers were left waiting for more than 10 minutes despite there being 6 staff on the premises! The pharmacy isn’t exactly large so why so many staff needed to be there at one time (and not all staff were assisting customers) is beyond me.

Despite the number of staff, not every customer was acknowledged. They all waited patiently for assistance so the least that staff could have done was ensure everyone knew they would be attended to in due course. A woman lost her temper on my most recent visit as she was waiting for quite some time then ignored while another customer stepped in front of her to speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist should have dealt with the waiting customers more appropriately.

Moreover, I was charged the wrong price for an item despite the price being marked on the box. If I had not taken my receipt I would have lost money.

Racially profiled at this pharmacy spoke to the pharmacist on the phone confirmed item is in stock I arrived in person to be told a item is prescription only when it is not I explained whilst there that the item to buy over the counter is not a prescription item, the pharmacist clearly profied me and decided to deny me service based on skin colour and I challenge the pharmacist to tell me where the medication states its a prescription item on any nhs website for controlled items. Another example of somebody assuming and making a poor decision based on appearances I sincerely hope others see this comment. Phenergan is not a prescription item in the UK at present. Less than zero stars is applicable.

17.04.2024 I cannot believe they replied with what they posted. Timeline 16.04.2023 17:29PM phone call made asking if the item in stock you replied yes, you then said a maximum of 1 can be purchased. You confirmed on the phone it is NOT a prescription item, I asked the closing time you replied 6pm, I arrive and ask for the item you asked what it was for and if I have ever used it before I replied with what its used for you then speak to a colleague look at me and then say it's a prescription item "they usually have a note on the medication" when I inform you that it is not a prescription item and my GP has said it isn't you try to tell me about other items and apologise that you cannot sell the item even though i explain to you that its not a prescription medication you ignore this and make a stereotypical decision based on appearance, what other possible reason can there be? Considering ive never met you nor purchased anything in that premises, why not say on the phone you cannot sell the item prior to me coming. Why not say I cannot sell the item for any reason which your entitled to do, BUT you decided to tell me its a controlled medication when it isn't. your reply about the strict policy contradicts your logic. In what instance is somebody able to buy the item in that instance? Clearly had I been white or Asian that would suffice. Ladies and gentlemen this person said strict purchasing only! remember this word because it means he has the right to refuse service based on appearance if the consumer has never purchased the item in the shop nor met the person before. Absolutely disgusting behaviour do not bother with this establishment the owner who is 5'11 40-45 years old is of Asian origin wears black glasses weighing 80-89kg clearly discriminates aganist black people and will happily lie. I wasted time travelling to this disgusting shop having politely bad confirmation the item is in stock and I was on route to buy over the counter allergy treatment as per the UK classification regarding this medicine to then be told in person that ill be denied service based on appearance.dishusting. yet again following on previous reviews highlighting disgusting customer service. AVOID I have advised local businesses not to support this establishment and I will this place during the Friday prayer service in Mile end so people are aware of the discrimination faced. Avoid avoid avoid.
