I had a severe eating disorder for 30 years and I am autistic with adhd and mental health issues.
All through my life I have always requested not to see my weight.
Today I went to the Buckland hospital for a CT scan on my lungs. The clinician i saw at first already read that I didn't want to know my weight. Then as soon as I was taken in to have my scan and was told to step on the scales where my weight was directly in front of me .This has set me back and the person who weighed me after asking me not to show me my weight did the total opposite. This is a very serious matter and one that I will see through right to the end.

Visited for an MRI, they suggest you arrive early to fill in the form. I was greeted at main reception and was walked round to a cubicle to take off jewellery, hair grips etc. They checked I would be OK in the scanner and explained safety measures. Afterwards I put my stuff back on in the cubicle, and was able to leave.

This is located in what is perhaps the most deprived area in Kent and the reception staff are clearly products of their environment. They were out smoking in the front of the hospital more than they were doing their job. My partner and baby were waiting for over 2 hours due to poor organisational skills of the uneducated staff. please stay clear of this hospital at all coats! 2 stars for the good staff here, whoever they are.

Quiet and calm walk in clinic where I was received by a pleasant and helpful receptionist.
Although I was a visitor from outside of Kent, she was able to find my details and asked me to take a seat.
After a short while, I was seen by a female doctor. She listened to me carefully and dealt with me in a friendly and unhurried manner.
I had left the hospital in less than an hour, feeling cared for and reassured. My own surgery has already contacted me with the referral they received.
Thank you for such an excellent experience of our NHS.

Parking extortionate, street parking is by phone app. Hospital car park is pay up front, with both options you have no idea how long your wait might be so you end up over paying as you can't go back to get another ticket. Minimum payment (up to 1 hour) £2.00. Personally I don't think hospital patients should pay to park, but this system means you always pay for more than you need which is unfair.
