I love the health cente, the reception staff, doctors and nurses have all been brilliant and I've been a local now for 30 years so that's a lot of brilliant. The amount of times I've heard tales of woe from friends and family concerning their GPs around London and thanked my stars my surgery isn't like that. Well done Amersham HC!

Worst experience with this health centre. Had severe pain in my hand. I was not able to do normal activities. Saw Dr.Pathak. She referred for ultra sound saying there will be queue for it and asked me to manage with pain killer. I somehow managed to get appointment in couple of days. To get back to the GP to review the results, I was told there are no appointment. Again after long argument I managed to get appointment with Dr Suneetha Siripurapu. She said she is not trained to read ultra sound reports and she is not even sure why Dr.Pathak refered me to ultrsound. She said she will refer me to Muscle Skeleton department which obviously has a longer queue. To see her to hear that she is not trained to read ultrasound reports I had to fight to get the appointment. How ridiculous is this?
Finally I went private and got things sorted and started physio and now i am managing to move my hands.
What if I cannot afford for private, I will be in queue left out wondering that someone will call. Meanwhile I got a call after couple of weeks that the referral made by
Dr Suneetha Siripurapu was rejected.
I called health centre and they said Dr Suneetha Siripurapu will take a look and get back. Its been few weeks now and there is no response.
This is ridiculous that patients are made to run like headless chicken. Worst experience with NHS and AMersham Health Centre.

I really don't know why people have complained so much about the reception staff. The initial registration process took a good few weeks but other than that every single receptionist, nurse and GP have been wonderful with myself and kids. Really helpful, patient and kind.
Getting appointments is tough due to the horrible Ask First app but that's general NHS issues not this particular surgery.
The only reason I've taken away a star is because I have to create Ask First accounts for my kids and manage those as well for their appointments which is a little ridiculous because I need 3 email addresses and manage 3 accounts. Surely kids appointments can be taken over the phone until they're 16 and old enough to manage their own appointments! Or is this general NHS policy too?

I can’t agree enough with most of the below reviews. The reception staff for the most part have been rude, unapologetic in the face of their own mistakes and have made several in the short time I’ve been there. Formula prescription missed, booked a baby in to see someone that can’t see under 2yo, addresses not updated and the lovely Caroline telling me they’ll get to it when their very heavy workload is done (even though it impacted my child’s access to much needed antibiotics over a long weekend). GP behaviour around formula that can be bought OTC has been bizarre which has concerned me. The only plus is the 2 nurses and 1 GP I’ve seen have been good. Just a shame about the front of house…

Friday before long New Years weekend I called around 12.30 for a poorly child. Reception very helpful. Managed to use the online platform, call back in 20 minutes, appointment within 2 hours. Seen on time by a lovely doctor who followed up on our delayed urine test by calling us at home. Everyone we spoke to did their best to be helpful at the end of a busy few days and I was very impressed with the whole team. Thank you.

Rude receptionists and rude assistants .. decent doctors , overall not a good GP by any standard and their behaviour makes it worst. There was no SMS or mail about an appointment I booked for a poor child and I believed I was good 10 minutes early to my appointment while I was 5 minute late as per self check in system , so possibly I noted it wrong, however I was lectured on many things including in old days people will take note of time so it’s not an excuse (had to hear the same statement 2,3 times ) and NO doctor will not see you etc.
May be they are too stressed!!

Poor reviews. Good doctors. But I would be ashamed if I worked there. Hit my head before visiting dentist causing big gash. Dentist said go to GP to see if one of the nurses could look at it. I went. I would have had better attention at the Tyre Garage or the Pet Shop. I truly would.
