Wow what a beautiful venue this is, we had perfect sunny weather, set in vast gardens with a beautiful lake and trees and an arbor, over 400 years old and a beautiful building. My cousin had her wedding outside here, set up beautifully with flowers and a red carpet absolutely took my breath away. We had a family meal on the Friday night before the wedding, very nice but the service was a little slow but otherwise an enjoyable evening. Day of the wedding couldn't fault a thing, everything went seamlessly, I highly recommend the royal raspberry vodka cocktail absolutely delicious. I slept like a log which is unusual for me very comfortable bed. Loads of choice at breakfast with hot buffet, fruit, fruit juices, croissant etc. I would definitely stay here again. Tables, chairs and umbrellas so you could sit outside. Really like Darwins piano lounge, thd naked piano player there on the Saturday was incredible.

Did a spa seekers break for 2 adults with 2 treatments and dinner included for birthday. Also booked afternoon tea. Afternoon tea was fabulous really nice. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Was upgraded for free at check inn. Food for dinner £25 allocation per person. Food was delicious. Did spend extra £23 on few extras and drinks. Room very spacious and comfy. Lovely views to garden. Spa facilities were fab and treatments very relaxing. Would definitely recommend and come again.

We stayed at the Albrighton Hotel & Spa, Ellesmere, Shrewsbury recently. ||It's a beautiful hotel, full of history, the superior room that we stayed in was clean and the two single beds despite them being small, each one was comfortable.||The bathroom was clean too with all the necessary amenities.||The swimming pool and changing rooms were clean.||The Oak Room restaurant where we dined for our evening meal and breakfast was amazing, full of period character and reflects the history of the building.||Restaurant staff who served us were engaging and professional. ||Food on both evening and breakfast was great. Evening meal was particularly excellent.||Choice at breakfast was great too apart from the bacon which has dried up due to perhaps being in the food warmer for too long.||Bar area was clean and service from staff was both prompt & professional. ||Toilets inside the hotel/public areas were clean. ||Reception area was small although there's a long waiting area with seating. || Overall from the room to the amenities available throughout our stay, the element that would stay in my mind and would bring me to spend my hard earned money again in booking into this hotel is the customer service I've received from certain members of staff. Sadly some staff members haven't been mindful on how they should conduct themselves whilst at work, talking inappropriately about guests and on the earshot of guests . This kind of behaviour should never happen in a professional setting and although other members of staff and Management have been fantastic during our staff, this kind of unwarranted behaviour from other staff could potentially ruin the hardwork & dedication from those who truly care in delivering excellent customer service. Without the terrible & unfavorable experience I had, it would have been 5 stars as a review from me. Five stars and thank you to those who tried to overturn & help change our last minute hotel experience. If you happen to read this review, we don't need to tell you how to treat guests because I believe it's innate in some people to treat others the way they themselves want to be treated and for me it's treating others with kindness, empathy & respect whether I'm face to face with them or even when their backs are turned. Genuine customer care is what I'm looking for instead of fake smiles and gestures. As I mentioned, thank you to those who made our stay memorable. Your efforts haven't gone unnoticed!||

A wonderful stay and a special mention for Jess in housekeeping.||Jess went beyond the call of duty and the extra mile to ensure my stay was perfect in every way. Nothing was too much to ask.||I see how hard she works after everyone has enjoyed themselves in the rooms, especially after weddings and other events that means the 'extra work'.||Jess deserves a special commendation. So kind excellent guest rapport and dedicated to her duties.||(...do not forget Chris at Breakfast who always deserves a commendation everyday of course! he is part of this Hotel!! and fantastic!! a miracle worker!)|(and Elena - she even liked my Piano playing!)

We had our wedding here last year, and we came back for our anniversary and it was absolutely amazing! The staff really looked after us, the room was lovely, and dinner was spectacular! They surprised us at dinner with a cute note as we sat down at our table and personalised our desserts for us! A huge thank you to Nikki the wedding manager, and to the great staff that gave us a dinner to remember! A huge thank you to Lucy, Alex and Keah 🙂

We held our wedding at Albrighton hall hotel recently and it was an amazing experience.
Nicki, Sam and Gabby were fantastic in all areas. The planning was incredibly easy with their guidance, we had a stress free day as the 3 of them were amazing and blended in despite being such an instrumental part.
We had a buffet style wedding breakfast which ran smoothly and tasted delicious. Our nephew (6 years old) wasn’t a fan of the options we chose, so the staff cooked some chicken nuggets for him, which was a lovely gesture.
We arrived back to the bridal suite after a long day, to a lovely bottle of Prosecco, chocolates and slices of our cake.
We had a few hours in the spa the day before the wedding. It was clean, and had a pool and jacuzzi with steam rooms. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, the bridal suite was huge, with lots of space for vendors to use.
The grounds were well kept and blossomed in the sun.
I don’t think our day could have ran and smoother.

Family Night away.
Lovely place set back from the road
Staff where great
Spa and pool where good, just pool was bit busy for us at time we went but not a bad point to moan about.
Food was nice from what we had.
Ground where nice to walk and chill, they also had games for kids out on the lawns.
Close to alot of places within 5-15 minutes drive. (Resturants/activities/shopping)

Despite the things that have happened in our time here, I wasn't going to leave a 'bad' review, but checkout finished me off. I've stayed in hotels all over the UK and worldwide, so I have some experience of good and bad hotels, more than enough to write this sort of review.

Things didn't start well, when we found that our room was a half mile walk from reception, given that my partner let them know on booking that she is disabled.

We went to the 'spa', and it's really poor. The steam room was broken down, the Jacuzzi is that small you can barely fit two people in it, the pool is small, no-one told us we would need padlocks for the lockers. (the pound coin operated ones have no keys) The whole thing is really poor and is badly in need of renovating.

We went back to our room to get ready for dinner, to find there wasn't any hot water. We called down to reception to be told that we weren't the first to complain, but it should be fixed within half an hour. An hour and a half later (making us late for dinner) we called again, to be told that they were still working on it. We had cold showers, but then couldn't get a table in the restaurant so had to eat in the bar.

We woke this morning to find that hot water still hadn't been restored, cold showers again.

We had breakfast, and proceeded to checkout.

The lady on reception was full of insincere apologies, but then proceeded to try and charge us for drinks I'd already paid for at the bar, and food that we had prepaid for. It took us a full ten minutes to get her to reverse her position and to cancel the Charges.

I'm sitting here in reception, writing this review, listening to numerous people complaining about different aspects of this hotel.

What sort of 'luxury' hotel cant contend with boiler failures? Where is the maintenance ?

Attitudes on reception need changing.

I've emailed Radisson's MD directly, but as of yet haven't had a response.
