If you want a dentist that uses equipment that ought to be in a museum, yet charge top rates, then this is the practice for you.
In addition, the dentist will consistently keep you waiting well after the appointed time (30 minutes+), but the hygienist will refuse to see you if you are 5 minutes late. The hygienist is also impossible to book, 3 months out if you're lucky.
Parking can be challenging and the final straw was turning up having had to wait 3 months to rearrange an appointment to find they had messed up and not got the booking, so having to sue them for the money paid through their monthly DD which they say is not refundable, even though it is their fault!

So after all adults in my family loosing NHS treatment at this practice a year ago.
We were grateful that our 11 year old grandson would stay with them at our local village dentist until he left full time education.
Today we have received a letter saying they can longer treat the village children under the NHS due to the pressure of demand for NHS dentistry and the need to prioritise new patients and those who need emergency treatment.But if we go private they can spend more time with him,reduce waiting time and care for him in a relaxed,friendly and professional environment.
Apparently paying for treatment miraculously takes pressure off the practice and gives them more hours in the working day.

Disgusting behaviour by this practice.. throwing out local people out without notice. I'm sure they should give 3 months written notice if they want to remove you from their client list. A total money grabbing exercise at the expense of local people. These people should feel embarrassed and ashamed of their actions, a disgrace. Aren't doctors and dentist supposed to be respected moral members of a community?

Despite been told I have the early stages of gum disease. I was given lots of advice and the through examination.

The desk staff were lovely to and very professional.

This is a great local dental practice, the previous owners/some employees were not good but as far as I know this place changed hands a while ago and the current employees are fantastic and the actual dentists do amazing work, they explain everything and give you options.
My recent problem got delayed because of covid which is completely understandable so things got stretched out for a year because it wasn’t an emergency but they got me in as soon as they could and now I’m sorted and my teeth are great again.

Update
It is a great dentist, great employees but now they’ve decided to go private and have dropped everyone on the NHS right when everything costs more than ever, there are a large amount of people in the area that now cannot even access basic dental care, but no let’s keep building houses and put even more strain on public services until they break, rant over haha.
