I have visited my asthma nurse Simone Wyle 3 times now. I cannot express enough how she has helped me understand and control my asthma better than anyone else I've seen. Her compassion around my medical issues were very kind at a time most needed.

I’d like to start by saying the receptionists at this surgery are always so helpful. I called on Monday to book two appointments, and they managed to fit both in for me this week, which I really appreciated. Even though they were running behind on Monday evening, it gave me the great opportunity to witness an incredible act of kindness from one of the nurses, Simone.

While waiting for my appointment, I saw her looking after an elderly gentleman who had suffered a significant head injury. She went above and beyond, constantly checking in on him, offering water, and making sure he was as comfortable as possible. What truly amazed me was when she told him she'd managed to locate his daughter through Facebook—such a personal touch, and it meant the world to him. I overheard his relief and gratitude as he spoke to his daughter on the phone, knowing she would be with him at the hospital.

Imagine my delight when I popped in to get my MMR jab today, and it was Simone! She was just as kind and professional. She kept me relaxed and chatting throughout, offered tips to prevent any soreness, and went out of her way to book my follow-up appointment for me. It didn’t hurt a bit, and I got to enquire after the gentleman from Monday, which was an added bonus.

It’s experiences like these that remind me just how much compassion and dedication nurses like Simone bring to the NHS. She is an absolute asset to the practice.

One thing I've noticed about this place - which is rare in other surgeries, and big city centre urban surgeries in particular: the receptionists actually speak to you like you are a fellow adult and don't have the slightest bit of an obtuse or obnoxious manner.
