Brightwell Physiotherapy

I was heavily pregnant and went to this physio for pelvic girdle pain. All the sessions I had, I was hooked up to a tens machine. The physio was nice, but I didn’t feel I was getting much out of the sessions so went to another physio. I was looking for more specific help and somewhere to practice the exercises. I think it would have been great if the physio went through the exercises in the session and if they had an exercise ball big enough for pregnant women, rather than just talking about what to do and then being put on a machine and left for 25minutes. The room was quite small and uncomfortably hot in the summer and being pregnant was a challenge. I did like the fact there was a bathroom right next to the treatment room.

I went to Brightwell physio as I was suffering with sciatica, the first two appointments were good, and she was very informative with what she was doing, but on my third appointment it was as if she couldn't be bothered, I was late going in and I was paying 15 minutes before my appointment time was up, there was lack of conversation at this appointment as well. For this reason I cancelled my forth appointment and continued with the exercises that I was given, but these were the same exercises you can get off the Internet for sciatica. If I find myself needing a physio again I won't be going back here.

Brightwell Physiotherapy is fantastic and Ankita was brilliant. She really listened to my issues and then worked gradually with a plan to do at home which changed as I started to get better mobility. Over a 12 month period Felicity has calmly and competently led me through the lead up to, and recovery from, a left hip replacement. Having damaged my hip about 20 years ago, there was a lot a muscle damage to be repaired and then to regain flexibility and strength.
