We stayed in the woodland apartment and chose the ultimate upgrade. Though expensive for one night stay, there was lots of little touches that made the stay really special. The room was decorated for Christmas and with music playing it felt quite magical. All the hosts were very polite and made us feel very welcome. The apartment opens out to a swimming pool and this part felt really exclusive. The afternoon tea and breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The massage was amazing. My only recommendation would be with the ultimate upgrade I'd love the opportunity for an extra hour use of the facilities the following morning, making it 3 hours. Other than that I think with the food and the massages- the stay is value for money and really feels like affordable luxury. I will definitely be re-booking!

Absolutely the most wonderful place! So beautiful, relaxing and well organised. The facilities are perfect for a spa afternoon and ther-e was so much attention to detail- loved Alexa in the pods and swimming pool area and the gorgeous red berry drink!! The treatment I had (full body relaxation) was blissful! I had to force myself not to fall asleep so that I could appreciate every minute of it! The afternoon tea with glass of prosecco was just gorgeous! We loved the firepit inside the relaxation pod! Just so wonderful! Can't wait to book again! A hidden gem ? Highly recommend ❤️

We loved it here better than a lot of places we have been too.|The only thing I could fault is there not being any food available, only afternoon tea and cheeseboard. When I did ring up to request afternoon tea it states on the internet you get it in a pod but when speaking to the manager that’s only for day guests and we would have to have it in our room which isn’t very appealing to be honest!|Also the time slot allocated for using the pool and hot tub are very late you check in at 3 and then have to wait til 9 to use pool.|Other than that was a lovely and relaxing stay with beautiful surroundings

I’ve used the Black arm spa a couple of times and always loved it. I booked the apartment for a birthday treat for my husband and I was shocked by how utterly filthy the whole apartment was. |Every surface was disgusting. Inside cupboards, down walls, switches, cheese on graters and I don’t even know what was on the saucepan lids and spilt over the floors. |The spa facilities were exceptional and the breakfast delicious. |I advised the owner of the cleaning issues and sent photos of the findings to which I was told that it would be checked and have a word with the housekeeping and that they do inspect and although I between do a quick clean they do deep cleans periodically. However this couldn’t have been checked in some while, this build up was something that had taken time to get to this state. And a quick clean you would expect to at least clean food and crumbs from the floor and inside the microwave and equipment as standard. |For the money I spent i feel this was disgusting. |The photos don’t show just how dirty the place was in reality but gives you a snap shot as these aren’t even all the photos. |Very disappointing

This was a three hour, spa taster experience with access to the spa facilities, hot tub, swimming pool, sauna (unfortunately the latter was not working). The one hour massage treatments were excellent. The post massage relaxation with food was satisfactory with nice cheese and ham sandwiches, crisps and grapes and a mug of coffee. Overall it was a good experience with nice facilities and helpful staff for a price of £90 per person.

Amazing. Went just me & my daughter for her 18th birthday. Staff were very kind & helpful. The spa was so relaxing & the massage was very nice. The food served was to the highest quality & was very tasting Highly recommended black barn for all occasions

A lovely anniversary weekend spent at the marvellous barns. |The pool and hot tub were a delight for a private swim and relax in the evening.|Breakfast the next morning was delicious and laid out beautifully for us with a warm greeting. |Soft towels, bathrobes, and sliders provided made us feel special and taken care of.

My partner arranged a trip to Black Barn as a last min birthday treat, and what an absolutely incredible find!

The staff where so friendly, from being warmly welcomed on arrival and courteous throughout. We had made them aware prior to arrival that my partner was pregnant and the girl that showed us round the spa was amazing at making sure she was aware of areas she may need to extra careful on etc.

the treatments we had where both absolutely brilliant ( full body massage and pregnancy massage)

We then finished the day of with one of the best afternoon teas with ever had and we where greeted by one of the owners for this and they had even put balloons and a present out for myself which was completely unexpected but amazing!

cant thank them enough for a brilliant afternoon, will 100% be visiting again!
