The Waveney House Hotel

One of our best Hotel experiences ever. When I booked and then changed the booking, Amy was brilliant, she really went out of her way to make sure we were able to book what we needed. The hotel was bright and clean and our room, up in the roof, had a lovely view and everything we could need. All the staff were excellent. Friendly, professional, and nothing was too much trouble. Special mentions for Marie, Zoe, Sam and James. Extra special mention for Georgia who solved our taxi problem calmly with a smile and was just generally lovely (clearly is deserving of a pay rise !!!). If we are ever back in Beccles we would definitely book again. Many thanks to all for making our stay so good.

A good friend and I visited this hotel for the first time for a two-night stay and we were very impressed. It had been recommended to us by friends of ours. I stayed in Room 12, at the top of the hotel, with the most perfect view of the river. The room was very well appointed and comfortable with a lot of character. We enjoyed all of the food very much and the staff were delightful. We were also fortunate enough to enjoy the most perfect weather! A perfect location and well situated for other things in the area to explore. We would certainly visit again!

We popped up for a morning coffee at the hotel restaurant. They had a self-service for coffee and we ordered at the bar. Obviously, the tables inside have been reserved for the hotel guests. The coffee & biscuit was delicious. We sat outside on a table at the river Waveney terrace. We enjoyed the wonderful view!

Eaten here many times as local to me. Always good quality food. We both had the fish slate this time and it was well presented, tasty and very filling ! As always good value, nice clean environment, helpful staff. A range of Seating available inside or outside ( bistro style tables) by the river

Lovely hotel in a great location on the river. Quirky, pretty room in the roof with exposed beams. With partial view of the river. Friendly, helpful, and pleasant staff. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of choice. Easy walking distance into Beccles, a nice town with lots of shops.

Lovely location,lunched by the river on outside table food was great service a little slow but there were only 3 waitresses and the place was full. Waitresses were lovely very polite and professional considering they were rushed of their feet.After our meal a beer and a coffee took 35 minutes to arrive

Just had a brilliant stay at the hotel. Superb location. Excellent room with an amazing view. Very clean and well kept. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast was probably the best I've had. Thanks for the perfect stay. See you soon

Went for lunch. Good food, large portions. Very good friendly staff. Lovely setting beside the river.
