My son bought me this spa day as a birthday present, I travelled with my daughter-in-law and we had a lovely day. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny, we enjoyed the sauna, steam room and the jacuzzi pool. As it was a full day our lunch was included, I had the Yorkshire cheddar rarebit which I did not enjoy, the melted cheese was very thin which I couldn't taste at all due to the amount of red onions which were placed on the bread first and a very small amount of cheese on top. We asked if we could have a scone with jam and cream instead of the dessert but were told it wasn't in the deal, I really think you could have accommodated this as cost wise I would not think there would be much difference. ||I do think an indoor swimming pool would be good particularly when the weather isn't very.||Overall I enjoyed my day and the staff were helpful and very pleasant.

The lodges are beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped. Really enjoyed the hot tub.|We booked two two bedroom lodges: we being a party of six women friends. This meant three women sharing two bedrooms; one double ensuite and one very small twin bedroom. The twin bedroom in our opinion was not really suitable for two friends, maybe okay for a couple or two children. We managed by using the settee in the living room which was comfortable but... This was the only downside.|A highlight was the treatments we had in the spa. The therapists are exceptional. Comments from my friends included 'wow that was fabulous' ... 'best ever...' My facial was truly amazing, the best one I've ever had, blissful!|All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would return despite the slightly cramped twin bedroom.

The spa was lovely. A beautiful morning, relaxing. The pool really is something else. The spa staff were friendly and welcoming. Spotlessly clean, well presented. The change rooms are unisex but there are private cubical/showers.
There are only one set of toilets back at the change room - but it's not a huge issue.
I was surprised tea or coffee wasn't included in the cost of morning spa use, there is access water, lemon but no cucumber.
An exfoliating wash in the showers would be really helpful and also body cream in the cubical for after shower before getting dressed.

The spa was otherwise second to none.

The Dome however, I'd give a miss. The wine was good, but the service was slow. Two tables had to cancel / reschedule their next course as they had treatments booked. If it had been just one table I'd assume poor time management but as it was two tables I came to a dig conclusion.
I had to ask for my table to be wiped as it was quite dirty. I had to call over staff to take my order. And I paid at the bar.
The food, I asked for a Caesar salad (popular on the menu apparently - clearly as most people haven't eaten there more than once) no croutons. I asked if any chance of more bacon instead - to which I was told I'd be charged and implied the chef wouldn't like it.
Well, said chef made a Caesar salad from 5-6 cos leaves, a bundle of (not crispy) shredded bacon, and chicken reminiscent of plastic packed you find in the deli isle of your local supermarket. No anchovies. The Parmesan was shredding fine, not in the way a Caesar should be and the tiniest dollop of Caesar salad.
To all salad lovers out there, this was disappointing and really quite sad. For £16 I expected a mountain of greens, fresh hot chicken and crispy bacon bits. Large curls of Parmesan. Honestly, check your chef.

Loved the natural swimming pond. Landscaping was lovely and spa facilities were clean and quiet so it was easy to unwind. Both spa treatments (facial & full body massage) couldn’t be faulted and therapists were lovely.|Food was great. The only thing I didn’t like was that the music in the cafe/restaurant was loud and not at all relaxing (bad pop). Overall a very enjoyable experience and fairly priced.

Words can't describe how incredible this place is. Beautiful spa with outdoor wild swimming pool. Massage was the best I have ever had. The staff are so warm and friendly. We stayed in one of the lodges and it was fabulous. We got a great mid week deal. Nothing was too much for the friendly polite staff here.

Beautiful lodges, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was great to sit in of an evening. The Spa is small but fabulous and I had a very relaxing massage while there.
The food was very good and we enjoyed every meal we had in the dome, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The location is quiet and out of the way, but the local farm shop was 5 mins up the road to be able to buy basics such as bread, milk etc.
Finally the staff were lovely, always friendly and very welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely lovely places and brilliant staff.
Lodges are clean, well presented and easy to feel at home in. The Spa and treatments is top level. Great food and drink at the Dome. Staff across the whole facility are absolutely brilliant.

The area itself is beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained. An amazing holiday all round.

A beautiful place and location. I've not tried out the rooms or lodges, but the spa retreat itself. My only fault would be some people reserving a lounger with their towel when not using that area. I took my towel with me and didn't "hog" an area so that everyone could fairly access the area they were using, rather hanging my towel on the pegs provided and only sitting on the loungers when using that part ie the hot tub. However, I definitely recommend and will be going again soon.
