I contacted surgery following a problem that occurred in Wales. Dr O Carroll phoned me and made me an appointment next day atHeene where I saw Debbie. I was prescribed an
extra B. P Drug which made a big difference. I also needed a chest x ray which was quickly arranged for Friday, GP reviewed today Wednesday and now I am arranging a blood test for later this week. I see this as a rapid service.

Deleted previous negative review for a new low and knock a star off!
Got a voicemail this morning with a date for changing over my implant...no surgery to attend or time to attend! And you won't even answer the phone for me to check I can make this date and the details that are missing, hoe do you expect patients to attend if you leave out important details like that? Why call to arrange this on a day you are too busy to answer the phone and will be closed in the afternoon? Terrible service

I was initially told I have to wait a week to be told my biopsy results as the doctor needs to look at them first, ok, so I booked an appointment a week in advance! On the day I received no call back as promised. 7.30pm a text message arrives stating they had been very busy with the normal apologies etc and that she would rebook my appointment in another 2 days time (today) to go through the results and findings! It’s now 9.30pm and I have heard nothing. Disgusting! I’m guessing I now have to wait until Monday as you don’t operate at the weekend. That’ll be almost 2 weeks in total having already waited a month just for the biopsy results to be sent back…. Living with the thought you could possibly have cancer for over 2 months and then have to go through all of this isn’t good, still having the same symptoms as when I went in for the initial appointment and having nobody bother to return my pre scheduled appts to be able to discuss them with!! What do you suggest i do? It’ll even state on my records I’ve had high anxiety for the last 2 years, this is making me worse!!

Absolutely terrible. This used to be a good group but have deteriorated considerably. It's very difficult to get an appointment or even speak to anyone and if you don't call before 9am you are just told appointments are full for day. They never follow up on regular medication etc etc

May I suggest that your staff call back immediately after a missed call for an appointment.

There are a myriad of reasons why one my not make a first call, going to the toilet for one. If you call back immediately, instead of the time leaving a voicemail then there's a good chance of connecting. Otherwise people may not be available later in the day. We cannot call back directly so the power is in your hands. Effectively unidirectional communication.

Thanks

Had a series of incompetent administrative problems recently. Really straightforward stuff with repeated reminders.

Not very impressed currently and their very poor comparative f2f consultations vs pre-pandemic.

I came today to see Tom, a lovely physiotherapist, so nice with a lovely manner and attitude, then l spoke to another lovely gentleman on reception, l asked if l could order a prescription instead of phoning, l also asked for a glass of water which he was more than happy to get for me, l never have problems with any reception staff, so just thought l'd say about my experience this afternoon, my time there was from 2 30 till about 3 05.

But really we do. My son has a fever of 38.9. I called the surgery to confirm that he had all spots on his body, they told me to take him for a check-up at 5pm in the afternoon, he is only 6 years old and there is no 'He has to come down, dad tells me, tell him if they come here I'm so cold on me. What are they doing!!! if you don't want to take him go to the hospital, but what are the ways? He's only 6 years old. I'm really angry at the behavior on the phone ,?and in the way you treat children like this. From the reviews you can see well how you treat patients ?‍♂️or rather children. Here is the answer you will give me....if you answer me!!! It's a poem already written.
I apologize once again for the time it took you to receive the care you needed.

Here's the answer I expected? You're the doctor, you have to worry, not me. Not even formalizing saying here's my e-mail let me understand the case? But everything's fine, you want to justify yourself in a chat where you say you don't understand? After I was told and I repeat again we can't come, take him to the hospital. But what are we talking about?

On hold for over half an hour, then to be advised via automated message the surgery is closed due to unforseen circumstances. Call again to join the que for it all to repeat itself. Never had a good experience calling this surgery. I love the NHS and all it stands for, but this surgery is falling miserably.
Called 111 as a non emergency and they arranged for the surgery to call back later.
Requested timings for calling surgery are incredibly unreasonable for same day only appointments and close incredibly quickly.
Reception staff ignorant to the issues and if you become frustrated they will disconnect you due to their sensitivities. Feels like the whole system is being set up to fail the community.
This is not the NHS we deserve!

Edit. In reply to the reply. There Is a 4 hour window yes, but NO, you won't get seen on the same day, so this statment from yourself is completely untrue. The surgery very quickly reache's its safe working limit and therefore closes all further appointments! Staff ask you to 'call back in a few days at time!. I was refused call back before ten o'clock this morning due to this. For some people it is simply not possible to call first thing in the morning.
This is incredibly poor service!
