Impossible to book an appointment. It's almost as if the online booking system was designed to be as inhuman and frustrating as possible. Submitting an online appointment request takes 20min and there are only 150 slots per *working day*, so if you try to book in the afternoon you will not be able to because the arbitrary capacity limit set by the partners will have been exceeded. It contravenes the whole point of an online booking system! If you do succeed in making an appointment you then have to wait 2/3 weeks for an appointment. It's uniquely awful. I registered with the practice a month ago, and although it's a 5min walk from my house, I am considering registering elsewhere.

Surgery always respond quite promptly to appt requests. Good availability of appts when you need to book. Recently helped my dad sort his online platform on- lovely lady at reception who is helpful. You have to wait for appts everywhere now and that’s just the times we are in. Thanks to everyone at the practice!

Unhelpful staff and management systems. Getting there for my appointment I was told all appointments has been cancelled, I work with NHS and we have an emergency mobile that you use to send text to all your patients, am a nursing student and I have to leave a very important assessment because I don’t want to end up in A&E, I was so angry and disappointed. I cancelled a dentist appointment and was struck off but it’s ok for you guys not to inform us when you cancel an appointment.

Just went to this practice with my daughter as she was rebooked here a week later as the other practice moved her appointment to purely woodcote when she got there the gp could not see her as probably because it was a lady thing !! He must know how women’s body’s function he’s a doctor ! So rebooked for today get there and the systems are down they have no back up paper lists . They can write paper scrips they can write paper notes to which this can be scanned in to patients notes we did this before computers !!! Obviously this is too much hard work for them I know this gets done at other surgeries . The system they are working with does go wrong so they need to have a back up plan . So yet again my daughter is not seen for the second time let’s hope it’s nothing serious . I asked to speak to the practice manager but would not come out and assess the situation . A GP came out 20 mins later not sure what for I quickly asked him a few questions he really wasn’t interested also no apology. Will be looking for a different surgery and a complaint to nhs England, ICB . Also the receptionist not sure they know what they are doing and not one apology from anyone . Have a good think before you join !

Ye who are looking for healthcare in the area: head somewhere else. The stress dealing with the receptionists and prescription team at the Purley Woodcote medical GP surgery cannot be understated. They have so many automated and online systems that do not account for a great many situations (like your 4yo daughter slowly increasing anti seizure medication). And if you try to speak to a human over the phone, you will be sorely disappointed and, likely, even enraged. I have been yelled at by the staff for their own incompetence (apparently a letter from the hospital had been misfiled). When they switched to the online booking system there were issues for many people. The phone message says to call if you need help and I was told they only help people “who aren’t perfectly capable of doing it themselves”. I work in tech. I am not tech illiterate. Avoid avoid avoid.

Update: We have moved GP. This place is a failure in healthcare. Save yourselves and go to Old Coulsdon.

Phone now just doesn’t exist. I went down today to get answers. Reception speak with you like you are a child ( this part is very true) and yes I’ll be moving shortly. No reason to tolerate ultimatums, and rudeness.

My visit went very well. The nurse sorted my problem out. Shame you have to do everything online now when you're unsure how to do it. You can't talk to people anymore very sad, really
