This was my first visit to a dentist in over a decade.
It was a very positive experience
I felt all staff listened to my needs.
No pushiness for extras.
Excellent, experienced treatment and care from all.
The only negative is no parking... but ample opposite in Tescos and, apart from the dentist, no one wore a name badge.
But I highly recommend this dental practice. And feel relaxed about returning.

Been going to this practice for a couple of years and it is great. Friendly, professional staff, who go out of their way to explain things with absolutely no pushing for more work. Had a crown fitted that was very tricky but has worked. Fabulous imaging to show progress throughout. It is not cheap but if you are OK to pay, you will get a good service.

I have always had bad teeth, and it runs in the family. Cavities would appear in my teeth almost as soon as they grew in. My children also have weak teeth. After my first pregnancy, my teeth practically started crumbling. As you can imagine, I have had to visit dentists frequently.

The treatment protocols in my country are vastly different from those in the UK. Our dentists truly treat teeth—they fill cavities, eliminate infections in the canals, use medications, thoroughly disinfect and seal canals under a microscope, and restore teeth even in critical conditions. They do everything possible to save a tooth. I know what real professionals do and the current level of modern dentistry.

My experience at this clinic in Winterton Dentist has been completely negative. The first time I visited, I was told that I needed to have several teeth removed, even though they didn’t bother me. A filling I received fell out within two weeks, leaving a larger cavity than I initially had. The filling placed for my daughter also fell out. And today, my youngest child was told she needs seven teeth removed because they have cavities. Apparently, treating cavities is not part of the protocol here. I don’t know. But either way, I will serch for a properly trained professional who actually knows how to treat teeth, not just pull them out.

On top of that, my children are repeatedly shamed for eating too many sweets—as if that’s the only cause of cavities. Before making such judgments, it would be useful to consider actual scientific causes of tooth decay, such as:

pH imbalance in the mouth – Frequent acidity from diet, reflux, or even genetics can erode enamel faster.

Fluoride exposure – Both insufficient and excessive fluoride levels can weaken enamel integrity.

Deficiencies in essential minerals – Lack of calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D affects tooth remineralization.

Microbiome composition – Certain strains of bacteria, especially Streptococcus mutans, increase cavity risk.

Enamel hypoplasia – A developmental defect that makes teeth more prone to decay.

Saliva composition and flow rate – Reduced saliva due to dehydration, medications, or medical conditions can fail to neutralize acids.

Hormonal changes – Pregnancy, puberty, and stress-related cortisol spikes can alter oral chemistry and promote decay.

Wouldn’t it make sense to investigate the true causes of my daughter's dental issues before shaming her for not brushing her teeth or drinking soda—which, by the way is not even the case.

Based on my experience, I seriously doubt the professionalism of this dentist, and I strongly do not recommend this clinic.
