We recently moved surgeries due to moving out of the area, but this was a great surgery. All GPs were so helpful and understanding of myself and my children. Dr Davis and Dr Stefano have a fantastic manner with both kids and adults, and really took their time to listen. The nurses were always wonderful when taking bloods or giving my children their vaccinations. No complaints at all, sad to have left.

Edit: they have now got signs that say if you don't feel listened to please stop your doctor and say. And I had an appointment with a female doctor who was understanding about my pmt issues. They are potentially going in the right direction.

Previous 1 star review: If you can go to another surgery do it. Do not join the Westfield surgery. The people in the pharmacy are so rude and they are unwilling to go paperless so you still have to pick up your prescription then go somewhere else to pick it up if you're not 'close enough'. They refuse to fill out the form that would enable my prescription to be delivered so I have to go into withdrawal on my anti-depressants for almost a week before they bother to do my prescription and order it in.

The doctors are rude. The lead doctor made my mum cry when she was explaining her pain and most of the female doctors couldn't care less about feminine issues. I have had to go to a private gynaecologist just to relive my excessive pain and symptoms because they just told me it's part of being a woman and to basically get over it.

They also never give you the correct information. I was told to bring in a urine sample in anything I have at home which I knew was wrong and they do not accept those you have to use their own pots. I was also told to go to A&E for a sprain to get a scan which they do not do. He looked at it and that was it, just don't think the doctor wanted to deal with me.

Horrible place, I never feel comfortable going there and feel almost shamed for needing a doctor.

I have just spoken to Celia on reception, she was so helpful I can't thank her enough. I have found the nurses and Dr's brilliant. I have no complaints about this surgery, if you follow the rules about phoning for an appointment, I have been able to get an appointment when I need one. This is how all GP practises should be, so lucky to be a patient here.

There has been massive improvements at the surgery in the last year I think or though I am not sure that there is a fairly new practice manager? The reception staff are far more user friendly than they used to be more understanding, patient and polite. The pharmacy staff are much more attentive and are always polite and have my meds ready on time. I love that I can now order my repeat prescriptions on line its so much easier. The only downside is the telephone service still isn't great I have held for 40 minutes before in a que and then been cut off so now if I need to book an on the day appointment I make every effort to go wait outside at 8.30. Doctors and nurses always spot on and never rush me so if things run a bit late be patient its worth the wait. 2 years ago I would have been happy to find another surgery now I am very happy to be at Westfield.

I recently had minor surgery on the 16th of may and now the 30th of may. Trying to get past the guard dogs at the reception is near impossible. To get my dressing changed I had to go to the conquest hospital. I was refused appointments I get rudely told " I can't give you what I don't have" failed in duty of care and I will be taking this further. 2 weeks ago I called to get someone to change my dressing and couldn't see anyone wasn't allowed my wife ending up changing it and due to that I passed out due to the pain as she is medically not trained to do it. I informed my surgeon of this on the 30th and she has said they failed in their duty of care. I will be taking this further because this surgery is absolutely shocking the receptionists are beyond rude and constantly trying and passing you over to sedlescombe surgery which my disabled wife or myself can't get to. Can't get medical help from this surgery at all do not sign up.

I transferred to Westfield Surgery when my local surgery sadly closed a few years ago. I was concerned about moving as I had severe health issues and had enjoyed a good relationship with my previous GP practice.
I needn’t have worried as I found the service I received from Westfield Surgery to be exemplary.
I cannot fault Dr Di-Stefano and his team; the Doctor always gives me the time needed to discuss any issues I have, however minor, whether face-to-face or on the phone, and makes sure that I am completely happy with any recommendations, making sure to follow up as necessary.
I am also very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the reception staff, particularly taking into account the challenges they have had to face in recent times. They are always very quick to assist and answer queries and I am surprised how much information they are able to access, which of course avoids having to trouble the Doctors with day-to-day matters, allowing them more time to attend to patients.
The dispensary has never failed to have prescriptions ready on time and to assist with any issues.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending this surgery, with many thanks for their continued care and support.

Just hope noone has anything pressing as you won't be seen. Call Monday and told to call back first thing at 830, get through at 838 and told no telephone appointments left for the day..... receptionist is bloody rude and literally doesn't listen and just sounds like a robot, shame as the drs are all nice at the surgery. Absolute shambles and a disgrace to be part of the NHS.
