Went to reception to enquire why I haven't been contacted for a follow-up . with my GP after a procedure at Southmead
hospital. I was told to ring reception and make an appointment. I said but I'm here at reception can't you just make an appointment for me now and I was told in no uncertain terms that I couldn't do it due to patient confidentiality. . I said that there is nothing confidential in arranging a date and time. The receptionist still refused. It's high time the NHS returned to common sense.

My dad who has advanced parkinsons was given an appointment he cudnt physically get to so after speaking to the receptionist and explaining a few things they arranged a home visit which they have had today (a day later). Many thanks to the west walk team, you are doing a great job in very difficult circumstances. Once again... thanks.

Absolutely discusted with the current system that makes it impossible for senior citizens, by that I mean 80 plus, from seeking quick medical help or advice other than ringing 999. I do not want an ambulance, I don't want a medical team on my doorstep I just want to speak to someone. Is that too much to expect from a modern health service? Adrian J Waterman. Not great husband was supposed to have phone call with diabetic nurse today. No phone call and when he logged in to see why it had been re arranged for 3 weeks time not even informing him!!! Very poor! Also can never see doctor of your choice. Definitely gone downhill over the years.

My wife wanted to write a review with how happy she is with Dr Delap and the helpful advice she has given her with regards to the menopause- she is an expert in menopause and it really shows - very happy - West Walk surgery is a great surgery and we are lucky to have doctors that are experts in certain fields as well as GP’s -Thank you 😊

I have had my first in person appointment at West Walk Surgery today and I was a bit worried but Elaine was so wonderful. Admittedly the test was overdue but she was understanding and just glad that I decided to get myself checked, no judgement involved. She explained the procedure and made sure I felt comfortable, we also had a lovely chat afterwards, really made my day!

Well I have been trying to help my elderly neighbours who are overwhelmed with there medical needs ! They asked if I could please phone drs ! I spoke to a complete Angel called Diana ‘receptionist! Who was totally amazing ! She dealt with their needs and then spoke to them ! What a very special lady ! She reassured them and was extremely kind ! Thanks so much Diane x

I have found some of the staff to be a bit demeaning. I had one experience with one of the nurses who had a radio playing during one of my appointments. Since then, She always seems to want to make a point of walking through the reception past me with her shopping bags, then gives me a filthy look like I am in her way, as I wait for her to take a even slower walk back to her office, because I have endless amounts of time, waiting for her to hurry up and do her job. So I can attend my appointment, but alas no? I have to wait even longer as she walks back through the reception and disappears again. Honestly?. To think I clapped for these people.
