Claire and her colleagues are excellent teachers. I attended several classes at the wellness space before joining her at the wellness retreat. At the retreat Claire shared ways to adapt poses to ensure that everyone could participate confidently throughout the lessons. We had 4 days of excellent yoga, gorgeous food, lovely walks and great company. We even managed a visit to the local pub for a lovely meal. Thank you for such a great retreat.

If you're looking for yoga classes in the Sunderland area, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wellness Space. Claire's deep passion for yoga is matched by her fantastic teaching style and the studio is a truly inclusive space for all levels of yoga.
I've just returned from a retreat with Wellness Space in North Yorkshire and I was so impressed with the beautiful venue, the quality of the food and the amazing yoga along with a group of really lovely people.
Although it was my first retreat, it certainly won't be my last. Thank you, Claire, for such a wonderful weekend.

Absolutely love my sessions at wellness space. Claire and the people who go are lovely. Thereā€™s a mixture of ages and levels, female and male so donā€™t be afraid to get started. I do relax and stretch and yin Yang. Suffering with medical conditions I struggle to do anything heavy like hiit. However these two classes are just right and I manage them fine. There are faster flowing sessions if thatā€™s what you prefer. I really recommend you grab your mat and come on down to yoga. It will change your life and give you the headspace you need in this busy life we all live in.

I was doing my first yoga class in over 4 years so I opted to try the Hot Gentle Yoga. I needed the practice before going on the Wellness Space Northumberland retreat the next day.

The yoga class at Wellness Spaceā€™s studio was fantastic. Claire was a great teacher, doing most of the moves with the class, so I never felt lost.

The retreat was amazing and very relaxing. However, I still felt like I had come away from the weekend having had a very good workout. Morning classes were very energetic (if you wanted them to be) with three options/adaptions to poses depending on your level. The evening classes were much more relaxing, with the Saturday class being taught in front of the log fire. Such an amazing setting, house, food and weekend!

I am slightly bias as Claire is my sister but not living in the North East means I hadnā€™t had the chance to go to one of her classes until now. I LOVED IT and now want to do more yoga!

Having tried various yoga instructors/studios in the North East, the Wellness Space is definitely my favourite - Claire's positive, calming energy, and friendly nature on top of her beautifully crafted sessions really set her aside from others.
Claire's beginner friendly and mixed level sessions are both fantastic, she's great at guiding you through your practice and also allows you to make it your own so you're moving your body in a way that's good for you personally. There's never any pressure to "perform" and I always feel so welcome any time I attend. Her teaching style and yoga practice really just flows and makes sense, so the sessions are easy to follow, even for beginners. Despite each session being different, they all have Claire's unique style that, for me, is unbeatable - I don't know how she does it but I'm so glad she does!
The Wellness Space events are also amazing, I have attended Yoga Brunch sessions and the Yoga Retreat at Ramside Spa - both of which have been incredible, you can tell Claire has put a lot of thought and effort into putting the events together because the quality is fantastic, the events are also such good value!
I always come away from Claire's sessions feeling strong, calm, and happy. I highly recommend Wellness Space to anyone and everyone whether they're looking to get fit, try a new hobby, or just practice some self-care - yoga is for everyone!

Yoga is not about touching your toes. It's about what you learn on the way down.

Since starting Wellness last year I have seen a massive difference in my fitness level, mental strength & often get withdrawals if I havenā€™t practiced. I donā€™t see going to Yoga as a kind of gym membership or something I have to force myself to go to, itā€™s my time out and always look forward to class.

Donā€™t think youā€™re just lying on your back for an hour. Wellness offers a range of different classes for all levels so If youā€™re looking to sweat buckets, improve your yoga practice or just have an hour of peace and quiet Wellness is definitely for you. The classes are well structured, and each teacher offers some individuality which is very refreshing. The teachers are without doubt the most welcoming and genuine people Iā€™ve had the pleasure of meeting. They let you take the classes at your own pace offering assistance or push you super hard, everyone is welcome. No previous yoga experience is needed so if youā€™re thinking of trying it, DO IT!. Wellness has honestly changed my life šŸ˜€
