I was visiting a friend in Saturday who has recently moved to the area. We had a lovely walk around thr garden centre and stopped to have a cup of tea and slice of cake in the cafe. I was very disappointed to find that rhe garden centre is completely cashless.
As a customer, I do not want to be dictated to when it comes to payment methods. I want to have the choice.

Absolutely a gem of a place to spend your weekend and garden shopping. There are loads of gardening items to choose from. The antique shop inside is lovely too 🙏

Is it a garden centre? Arguably a hodgepodge of entrepreneurial punts – the furniture is beautiful, the restaurant is clean though the food is wanting. There’s an overpriced butcher, odds and sods, a candle section, a shoe shop, a clothes store, a pet store, and more – there are also a few plants and garden-related knick-knacks. Definitely not an authority on all things garden. But if you’re looking for a place to spend a couple of hours doing very little and looking at stuff to buy on Amazon, this is your place! Great visit, thanks Waterside, keep it up.

Oh my goodness, we have driven past this garden centre a few times whilst visiting family, but today was my first visit.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, that was reasonably priced and served quickly. Can't fault the food or the staff; both were excellent! Also, the dining area was beautifully laid out and decorated for the festive season.

After breakfast, we explored the rest of the garden center, and its a shame we live 300+ miles away or else we would be back frequently! But I'm sure it won't be long before we visit again! Such an incredible selection of garden accessories and plants... something for every size of garden, and priced reasonably too!

We love a garden centre and waterside has lots here. Very nice plants, little shops, a food area (with delicious food) and a nice looking cafe. Lots to see. Only thing is it could do with a small play area 🙂 it would distract my daughter from buying more plants 🪴

We were staying locally on our hols and popped in for a look see as there was a cafe on site, there was lots to see and buy a little over priced but good quality stuff. After a wander round decided to have a go at the cafe and was
wholly disappointed with what was on offer, a massive dining area only serving tea coffee and cakes no hot options, a toasted sandwich or jacket spud was all we were looking for but alas our hopes were dashed!

This review is primarily for the Oasis restaurant at the Waterside garden centre. After waiting a very short time to be seated, my wife and I were given a menu.
My wife decided to go for Sunday roast, my self for a big breakfast, when I was told they had finished breakfast. Fair enough, I’ll have fish & chips….nope not today.
The choices were Sunday lunch, sandwiches or panini’s.
Why the lack of choice isn’t made clear before the menu’s are given out i don’t understand , but my wife enjoyed her dinner & the staff were faultless.
I would also add that, personally, I’m against the cashless payment policy that waterside employs.
