Verina is extremely knowledgeable about birth and beyond, passionate and caring. We found our experience of Hypnobirthing with Verina highly valuable and a part of our pregnancy journey we will never forget. We finished the course feeling so much more informed and cannot recommend it enough!

Meeting Verina and learning from her during my pregnancy made us feel so much more prepared and excited for birth which took away the feeling of fear.

Verina opened up a whole new world to me of pregnancy and birth and explained very clearly ALL of the options and choices you have that you don't necessarily get told about at your regular midwife appointments. She will support you 100% with whatever choices you make and is friendly and open about everything.

The hypnobirthing course she ran was fun, open and great at calming the nerves. I wholeheartedly believe that the beautiful baby boy that I have now is so calm, relaxed and easygoing because of the hypnobirthing sessions that we did when he was in the womb. The techniques really helped when I was in labour at home too.

Verina provides excellent aftercare as well, keeping in touch to make sure everything is ok. She helped me with breastfeeding techniques (again ones that they don't always tell you about in hospital) and I'm very pleased to say I'm breastfeeding with ease now and I love it.

If you are unsure, scared or just want to know more about birth, I would highly recommend Verina.

My experience with Verina was fabulous. I initially signed up for the Hypnobirthing course as I was actually terrified of giving birth. The course was absolutely fantastic and Verina’s knowledge was impressive. Myself and my partner felt so informed that we decided to go ahead and book Verina as our doula. The support, knowledge and contacts make Verina a doula that would be hard to beat! Also the good fun nature that she brings along make the whole process just lovely. I didn’t realise the lack of information women have about birth until I had the support of Verina throughout the pregnancy and after the birth, especially with breastfeeding. I would highly recommend Verina if you want to feel empowered! I don’t think there is a contact Verina doesn’t have 🙂 xx

I am writing this review as I feel all women should know exactly how much having Verina as my doula changed my whole journey into motherhood.

I contacted Verina while pregnant with my third baby. I initially contacted her mainly for postnatal care as I suffered from severe postnatal depression after having my 2nd.

I remember telling Verina that I didn't really need that much support before the birth as it was my third. Looking back, I realise that I was so wrong. After doing the hypnobirthing sessions with Verina I reframed my perception on what I should experience during birth. I also learnt about learning to trust my own body.

Verina totally over delivered throughout the time she supported me. She was a great source of information, accompanied me to many appointments and encouraged me to advocate for what I wanted. I realise now that the preparation that we did together before the birth led me to have the most amazing birth. After 2 inductions with my first and second babies. My third baby was born naturally. The birth was just so amazing that I didn't feel the need to push. My body just did what it had to do. My daughter came into this world and when they put her on my chest I was so surprised as I didn't even know I had given birth. The whole experience was just magical!

I really can't thank Verina enough. I realise now that having a good birth impacts your postpartum period. I have suprised myself with how well I have done since having my daughter. I cannot recommend Verina enough. I am just gutted that I did not meet her when I had my first and second.

The first time we met Verina we knew that we wanted to have her as part of our birth team. She has such a calming, reassuring demeanour that I knew would be essential to both me and my partner as this was our first baby and we were planning a home birth.

We also opted to do hypnobirthing with Verina and this was especially useful as she was then able to refer to the techniques during my labour, helping to keep me focused.

I cannot recommend Verina enough. Throughout my labour she made me feel completely safe, encouraging my partner and I the whole way through the process.

Verina has been and continues to be an amazing influence in my life and the life of our child who is now nearly one. Verina supported me through pregnancy. Giving me techniques to help with how to manage the day to day challenges of pregnancy, I attended Verina’s Hypnobirthing classes which not only helped me remain calm and controlled during the birth of our baby but it has helped me since with managing the day to day stresses of being a working mother. Verina also stayed with us during the birth of our baby. She is an absolute force of nature and I completely feel that her support through everything helped us get the right birth on the day. After our baby was born, Verina continued to support with tips
on breastfeeding and supplied articles and information throughout pregnancy so that our decisions were informed. Verina also performed a closing the bones ceremony at our home which was a wonderful experience post-birth. Thank you Verina for your continued support and friendship. You are 1 in a million! xxxx

Whilst pregnant with our first child, we were advised by our midwife to research hypnobirthing. In our reading we came across Verina’s course. It was perfect for our needs, it gave me practical skills to keep calm and breath my babies into the world. She also taught us the physiology of birth, which helped us understand what would happen to my body and how mama and baby work together. During our classes we built a lovely relationship with Verina, and asked her to be our doula. She was a great support, to both of us. she sourced research to help us make informed decisions about our care, as well as providing practical help on the day. It was lovely to have a familiar face on the day that I felt so vulnerable. After my first birth Verina supported me to breastfeed, a difficult journey to begin with, but one which has continued into toddlerhood.
When we fell pregnant again we asked Verina to doula. This time we planned a home birth. Yet again Verina was a huge support to all 3 of us. She attended appointments with consultants and acted as an advocate, providing up to date research which enabled us to make informed choices. On our birth night she provided practical support such as getting the birth pool ready, ringing through to the hospital, making drinks. She helped me use my breath through strong surges. She held and comforted my toddler when I was unable. Knowing my first baby was safe, happy and having her needs met was a huge comfort to me. It enabled me and my husband to focus on our birth.
Verina is warm, loving and incredibly passionate that every family has a positive birth. She also has an awesome sense of humour. We are so grateful to have had her support. Verina was a very positive influence on our special journey into parenthood. She will always have a special place in our heart. Xx

After a first birth which ended up as an emergency csection, I knew I wanted a doula for my second baby. From the first time we met Verina, her knowledge, confidence and warmth made me feel safe and sure that she was the doula I wanted and needed. She also has a wicked sense of humour which was a massive bonus:)

Verina was a fountain of knowledge throughout the entire pregnancy and as our hypnobirthing teacher. We had some potential issues arise with my maternity provision and Verina was always on hand to help us navigate through whatever was thrown at us. She attended appointments and meetings with us, even postnatally! On the day of the birth, Verina stayed with us for over 24 hours, starting at home, throughout a hospital transfer and even ended up driving home to get us another cord tie after the first went missing! She supported us and advocated for us throughout to make sure we had the right birth on the day. She became part of our family and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone I know!
