Firstly let me start of by saying this review has nothing to do with the staff as they took brilliant care of us and was mostly friendly. ||||The food was lovely and don't really have anything to complain about apart from the chicken was a little dry (personal preference) the chocolate pot for pudding was lovely. ||||So here goes on why I only gave this place 2 stars, when booking we had been told by a lot of people how brilliant this place was so we booked it for a family members birthday. Upon arrival we was in reception with other guests just arriving and was asked to fill out a form in the very little space that was there after this the staff took us on a tour and told us where to change and put our items ( in lockers mostly without keys!) Then we went and Sat around the pool in our group and was met by a very mouldy ceiling above us not only that but it was also around other parts of the pool area now we are very reasonable people and can understand it's a damp area and of course there could be some mould but ad you will see in the pictures it wasn't just a bit. Not wanting to spoil the birthday girls day we carried on as normal and the team let us know when we would be having dinner and what time our treatments were. Now for me this again is personal preference but I would of preferred I didnt have a massage straight after lunch (lunch at 11.45 massage at 12.30) was a little uncomfortable on my belly straight after food. The massage itself was in a lovely room and was very good. After we had done our treatments and enjoyed out time in the pool sauna and steam room we all got dressed and was told to pay our bill at the bar so when going to pay my bill I mentioned I wasn't very happy with the mould above us and was told it was in the process of been sorted with a half arsed apology and as I look back qt reviews someone said about this in march so now I feel completly fobbed off with the same story they were told months ago. As a group we spent over £600 so wasn't cheap, they were very happy to take our money. I must also mention we had 2 people with asthma in our group this could of caused them to be poorly. ||||This place could be beautiful bur please stop taking people's money and sort out the issues first. I have paid A LOT cheaper at a Groupon deal and it was A LOT cleaner. ||||All in all I would not recommend and I would not re visit this spa.

The positives:||Treatments and staff were fantastic. ||Lunch was very good with the food being tasty and well presented with a good selection on offer. The drinks and snack selection was also good and reasonably priced.||The spa experience is well priced and we enjoyed our day.||There were opportunities for improvement:|Dressing gowns were dirty (stained/grey or with holes)||No option for card payment, only cash or bank transfer are accepted. For an establishment of this size and in this day and age I (and our party) found this very strange.||The tiles around the pool weren’t in a good state of repair and felt dirty and insecure. ||The outdoor hot tub was also extremely dirty with water marks all around the inside with the water being cloudy.

Not the best experience very crowded and noisy, not a relaxing atmosphere. The treatments are very rushed as others waiting for there treatments.|Booked the twilight spa and at no point we’re we informed we needed to bring our own towels and never experienced this at other spas, we informed the owner we didn’t have towels to be told okay there is a £2 charge per towel and the towel we received was old and worn.|Not enough seating around the pool, the seating they do have is worn and old.|There are lots of other Spa experiences around so would recommend trying others.|This is a house and part turned into a spa tiny car parking area and just not like a professional spa.

We loved every second of our time here. Pam is just the most wonderful hostess, very welcoming and friendly. All the ladies, were so attentive, kind and couldn't do enough for you.
We made use of the hot tub, steam room and sauna, all just perfect.
The food was absolutely delicious.
The treatments we had were just amazing!
Just a perfectly idyllic day. Can't recommend highly enough.

An absolutely amazing experience! From the start we were greeted by the lovely team. Amazing location, it’s a smaller spa, but it’s just as amazing as the others. The massages were great too! Will definitely be back again. The Aperol Spritz were fabulous after a complimentary glass of fizz!

WARNING PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

First of all there is very limited parking so we had to get a lift there.
When we arrived there was no concise information of how the day was organised and was just taken to a small changing room with 3 changing curtains for approximately 22 people. Then we were each given a filthy robe to wear a cheap waffle type. Towels were not offered we had to ask for them.
On the website it does state they provide re-usable flip-flop but I didn’t expect them to have belonged to ghandi before us. The treatment rooms are outside which in cold weather after being in the pool would be freezing.
The premises themselves I think are an actual health hazard (please see pictures included) the mould was in just about every room and the pool room was an illness in itself.
The sauna was ok-ish needed a clean. The steam room smelt of mould so I felt like it was being suffocated and had to get out of there after a minute.
The inside jacuzzi looked green, the outside had ‘scuzz’ on the top with flies in it. Even when it was still the water wasn’t clear.

The food was I think probably frozen meals, I and another lady chose Salmon that definitely was not fresh and had a ‘not right’ taste! We did tell the owner, who then served salmon to the next sitting of guests. We were not offered anything as a replacement.

Everything is cash apart from the deposit I saw nothing go through a till it was a bill each on a scrap of paper.

The owner said to one of our party if you have anything that your not happy with she would rather be told than leave a review however non of us felt she was approachable especially after she was defensive about the salmon.

The only one good thing I can say is how lovely the lady was who did my lovely massage.

From the minute we walked in we were greeted by Pam and the team it was so welcoming .|After getting our robes on we relaxed by the pool and then when straight for our first treatment ! I cant say we had a great time here and I wouldn't describe it as relaxing, felt rushed and like you were going to be in trouble at any minute!! |I had booked this as a treat for my friends 50th birthday, I arrived before her, filled in the relevant form and was told I would be shown round, I asked if I could just wait for my friend but was told this might delay my treatment, was asked what time my friend was getting there, I replied by 6 and was told its recommended you get there for 5.45pm. No-one at any point had suggested this although it is in the About/ F.A.Q/Twilight Spa part of the Website if anyone delves this deeply!! I decided to get changed and then go back to reception to meet her. She was given the same tour I was just given with me tagging along, (could have just done it together!!) there's the jacuzzi, there's the sauna etc etc.|We sat outside and were given half a glass of Prosecco in a plastic glass followed by a plate of food that had clearly been prepared earlier in the day, pate which was brown round the edges, bread that was stale, dry olives. We started to eat it and I then noticed I had mould on my quiche!! Now if this was my establishment I would have been horrified but upon complaining "oh sorry, I'll get you some more quiche" was the response!! Like this was a totally normal everyday thing to be served mouldy food!!|We had been told if we wanted to have a shower to make sure we were finished by 9, not to be wet before we had our treatment, my friend was told not to walk on the grass barefoot and she also had to go and move her car whilst we were there.|We bought a bottle of Prosecco to share, we had drunk the majority of it but not all when we went for our treatments, which I have to say were very good, but when we came back, found our bottle had been cleared away!! We were told this was because there were flies in it which there weren't because I had put a glass over the mouth of the bottle. We were given half a glass of Prosecco each.|We then went to use the sauna and was told they were waiting for an electrician to fix it!! This hadn't been mentioned when they showed us the facilities. |All in all is not what you expect of a spa, felt rushed, not relaxing, like they were more worried about you leaving on time than you enjoying yourself. Dont think we will be returning.
