24/06 - The gentleman at reception could benefit from being more courteous and embodying the values typically associated with a yoga studio. It would also be more appropriate if he avoided walking around whistling, this behavior doesn’t align with the calm, mindful atmosphere expected here.

I booked a Yin Yoga & Sound Bowls workshop with Mary Young on 01/01/2025 at Triyoga Shoreditch for two people (£70 total). The studio and space are welcoming, and I had previously taken a good class there, which led me to feel comfortable booking again.

The workshop description suggested a rich, restorative experience led by an expert. However, both my friend (a total beginner) and I (with over 10 years of practice) found it lacked depth, structure, and the informative quality described. It felt more like an introductory session, which may suit those completely new to yoga, but didn’t reflect what was advertised or justify the price.

Triyoga offered a free class in lieu of a refund, which I appreciate, though it wasn’t convenient as I don’t live in London—and the value of a standard drop-in class didn’t match the higher cost of the workshop. A dear friend also attended a different workshop at their Soho studio and had a similar experience—feeling let down by the quality of the information provided.

In short, approach the workshops with caution, and try to get recommendations on specific teachers beforehand to help ensure a more balanced exchange.

Visit as at 11/05/25:

- Not clear upon enter what the check-in process is. You’ll stumble across a random IPad at the front desk. Easier if a poster sign with clear check-in instructions are is visible somewhere?
- I asked the lady at reception where the classes were located etc. She showed us to the changing rooms and class.
- Reformer class was good and challenging. Given the warm summer temperatures of 24 degrees the class so stuffy, no air or A/C therefore you’re inhaling all kinds of body odour & stench.
- Floor is dusty and loads of people’s hair everywhere.
- No modifications given by the instructor (Jummy) nor asked if we have previous injuries.

Wouldn’t return when other reformer businesses locally provide better services and cleaner facilities with ventilation.

Ben is a lovely and helpful front of staff member who accommodated our needs. My friend and I wanted to change our class to be in the same slot and Ben did this straight away to accommodate our needs. The reformer class itself was brilliant and the instructor was very clear.

However, the behavior we encountered from Sabrina over the phone was very rude and disrespectful despite us calling her multiple times to sort an issue than Ben immediately fixed. She even refused to help/see me despite telling her I was at the location multiple times, but fortunately I decided to come into the studio anyway where I was greeted by Ben instead. Please ensure all staff members are kind and well mannered when speaking to customers.

This is my first negative review I’ve ever written in 27 years of living. I am an avid yogi, have been doing yoga five days a week for 10+ years. It was not just once, but twice that I experienced the woman working the front desk staff was being unnecessarily rude to me. i’ve gone to two classes at triyoga. showed up for both on time. i walk in, there’s a girl standing behind a desk. naturally, as one does, i walk up to the desk and say “hi, im shannon.”. keep in mind, there is only one 3:45 yin yoga class left on the saturday schedule, and its 3:44pm. she looks at me quizzically in silence, then finally says “and what are you talking to me for…?” I calmly and politely reply , “The 3:45 yin class.” She says nothing to me. I say (all too politely and kindly,) “Am i not supposed to check in here with you?” She rudely informs me to check in at the ipad which I naturally did not see at the front of the studio. She then allows me to walk over to the ipad because I apologized and said I would do it there, and I go through the process of seeing she already checked me in, but didn’t have the decency to say it. She just watched me waste my time and miss the beginning of the class. On my way out, I looked at her said thank you and she just dead panned/stared me down.

As a yogi, kindness is one of the fundamental tenants of the practice. When you walk into a yoga studio, you should feel nothing but peace, gratitude, and safety in the kindness of the people there. I won’t be spending my time or money here.

I would like to add: Kiki led one of the most transformational yin classes I’ve ever attended. She is truly a talented, helpful, and kind teacher.

Class was great and the instructor was wonderful. However, it smells like food inside. Maybe someone mistakenly ate inside the reformer room but it just smelt like garlic. Makes you nauseous while working out.

Weird maybe French receptionist/ front desk person on the phone was diabolically rude to the point I’ll never bother to go back to TriYoga. Weird and had a chip on her shoulder about me booking via classpass. Suggest coming off classpass if it’s going to be a weird vibe when people book on it to attend. Weird and rude

I don’t live in London unfortunately, but love visiting this studio when I’m visiting, especially the Dharma and Jivamukti classes. Large and welcoming space, nice studios and changing rooms/showers, fantastic teachers, highly recommend!
